Giveaway: $200 Gift Card to Babies"R"Us & Pampers Baby Fresh wipes
This month, numerous milestones have been reached and checked off by both of my daughters. Here are two equally big pieces of news…
1) Harlow started walking.
I don't have a good video yet but she's taken at least ten steps on three different occasions. Unfortunately, every time I take out my camera to film her, she lunges for it and messes up her stride entirely.
In case anyone is keeping score at home, Harlow started just shy of 11 months. Yes, I know this will make life more difficult. But I'm still gonna brag about it.
2) Mazzy started pooping on the potty.
Let's be clear. She still fights the urge and holds it in way longer than I think is healthy. But she has now pooped on the potty four times. The first time it happened, Mazzy got up in the morning, walked into the bathroom on her own and two minutes later, yelled, "Mom!!!! I pooped in the potty!!!!"
I walked in and without missing a beat, my daughter deadpanned, "WHERE'S MY PRIZE?"
I told Mazzy we could go to Babies"R"Us that afternoon and she could pick something out herself.
Then I patted myself on the back because, no joke, Pampers had just given me a $200 Babies"R"Us gift card as part of a Swaddlers promotion. The timing could not have worked out better.
That day, I left work early to pick Mazzy up from school. Then we walked over to Babies"R"Us to buy Swaddlers for Harlow and a potty training prize for Mazzy.
I'm pretty sure "The Circle of Life" was playing faintly in the background.
The top floor of Babies"R"Us has tons of toys and Mazzy walked slowly down each aisle to make sure she had selected the best prize possible. This was serious business.
I had to steer Mazzy away from an enormous Cars-themed couch and a dollhouse the size of our apartment, but eventually it came down to a Team Umizoomi set and a Cars-themed LEGO racetrack. Finally, in a surprise twist, Mazzy spotted a talking Daniel Tiger and was instantly smitten.
Even better, Daniel Tiger has an on/off switch.
You'll notice that her hand briefly grazed a shirtless Ken doll. I breathed a sigh of relief when she passed it over. Thank god, we are not at THAT milestone.
With our gift card, we also bought Harlow a walker, her first sippy cup, new pacifiers, Puffs, Gerber GoodStart (I'm down to one pumped bottle of breastmilk a day) and her first pair of shoes with a soleβ she wore them to my cousin's wedding that I talked about yesterday.
Mazzy made out with a new bath toy and a puzzle of the world from Crocodile Creek.

My 15 mo’s new milestone is that she finally started calling her father “Daddy”. Before that it was “Paul” (his name) because, of course, that is what I say. I must use his name a lot. I had to call him daddy for a couple months for her to start referring to him as that.
My Morgan is now 9 months as of Friday the 18th and he has receached the milstone of climbing in and out of anything possible, practicing his new found balance in the center of the floor, and crusing the furniture looking for something to pull to the floor and doing the latter as I type.
My almost 11-month old took his first step yesterday!
Then he decided he no longer has to be cautious about it and started just taking giant quick steps…and then he looks like a drunk girl in heels falling off a sidewalk. Repeat ALL evening long!
My 20 month old son pooped on the potty last night…more of a convenience for me but I’ll take it! I’m a fan on FB!
We just mastered our army crawl and thanks to the speed he can gain on our hardwood floors, I doubt he will ever try a full on crawl. He also is pulling himself up but the immediate fall that follows is not making this a success yet.
The last milestone my 18 month conquered is using a fork!! π he has been trying for so long but just gives up and shoves the food in his mouth by his hands.
I pinned the giveaway image to Pinterest and I’m now a follower on there as well. (pinterest id: tworedhoots)
My daughter Olivia is 9yrs old with significant special needs….still in diapers, cannot feed herself, etc…..
Anyway, she has been in school with an IEP(special needs education plan) since she was 3 and she just came home with one with ACHIEVED in three of her 5 areas…..FIRST TIME EVER!!!!!!!
About a week and a half ago, my 13month son just stood up and off he went, walking like crazy (ALMOST A RUN). Before, he would take a few steps here and there but this was different… and I don’t think he has sat down since!! π
My 9 mo daughter is sleeping 12hrs a night (!) and my almost 5 yo can count to 10 in Spanish (thanks to my daugther’s v-tech toys that have a Spanish option).
My 16mo just got his first molar!
Pinned you too!
My 19 month old is FINALLY starting to talk!
Bigger milestone – sleeping through the night. And then I must add that my child is three.
I know. Feel my pain. The agony. And the exhaustion. And then give me a hug because I need it.
Wesley is eating solids and starting to sit on his own π
My toddler has now reached the “watch this!” milestone.
My 10 month old is now pulling himself up and couch surfing! Ugh I’m not ready for a walker!!
Pinned on Pinterest as well! pinterest.com/meretomommy
my baby girl has recently learned the art of the pouty lip. and my husband totally falls for it. she’s also learning to talk, which is totally awesome, if awesome means the bald spot i’m developing from pulling out my hair out of the frustration of not understanding that the sound ‘k’ means ‘lovey’ and the sound ‘mnmn’ means water. or if awesome means total melt downs when i don’t get said ‘k’ and ‘mnmn’ in a timely manner, ie the speed of light.

My 22 month old moved into his toddler bed about 2 weeks ago – he had been refusing to sleep in his crib for weeks and we were all exhausted, so we decided to give it a try by putting his mattress on the floor in his room and he slept through the night on the first try. Needless to say, the next day I was converting his crib into a toddler bed. So sad that my baby is turning into a big boy, but him sleep through the night, means I’m sleeping through the night. And I’m a better Momma on a full nights rest.

My 3 year old finally sleeps through the night… yeah. He’s that kid… π
My Evan also just took his first steps – Walking will be very soon!
Pinned the image also.
My daughter who is 10 months old is standing independently, so I suspect walking will occur soon. She also figures out how to climb out of her walker, she’s done it twice. But I think the biggest milestone she has reached is she is cutting 4 teeth at once, 2 upper and 2 lower…
Pinned it!
My 5 month old son can’t crawl yet, but he gets where he wants to go by rolling across the floor like a log. He also goes in next month for open heart surgery, not a milestone I thought I’d ever have to cross off, but my little man is a tough cookie and will get through this without looking back, far better than I. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152293638373206&l=99696d04a0
pinned too! I already follwed you. I love Mazzy’s pins!

My son is potty trained! We have been one week with no accidents, even getting up in the middle of the night to go. He is hoarding his poop still cause he doesn’t like pooping on the potty, but he hasn’t pooped in his pants and thats all i care about!!
My one month old has mastered the art of focusing his eyes enough to realize the difference between me holding him and any other dark haired lady. The look he gets when I hold him melts my heart.
Pinned!
I’m a big fan on Facebook and we are sleeping through the night at our house! Whoo-hoo!!!!

Thank you!
My son turns 2 next month, and he has been making all sorts of verbal leaps. His best/worst sentence to date (uttered when trying to get him to stay in bed): “Mama, I love you so much. Don’t go”
My 6 month old sat in a shopping cart at Costco for the first time this past weekend. I cannot explain why, but it was an emotional moment. He is getting too big, too fast.

I have been following you and I repinned it on my pinterest..My daughter’s milestone is that she is finally pooping on the potty with out any fighting or crying. She does it all on her own and hasn’t had any accidents.
My 18-month-old pooped on the potty last night! Of course, it was because I noticed her making the face while in the tub and put her on there, but still. And naturally, she wasn’t quite done so two minutes after putting her back in the tub, I had a mess to clean up. On a more cheerful note, she’s started saying her ABCs, which is so cute.
And my just-turned-4-year-old is on day 4 of no more nighttime diapers and doing great!
My 2 year old just started sleeping through the night in her new room and new big girl bed! Thank god as we are expecting our second in Dec and Mommy needs to sleep!
Pinned it too!
Our guy really started waving (appropriately) this last month, and got his first tooth at 9 months!
My 9 mo old sleeps 12hrs at night (!) and my almost 5 yo can count to 10 in Spanish (thanks to my daughter’s toys that have a Spanish setting). Also pinned http://www.pinterest.com/pin/58828338856194005/
We have seven-month old twins and our son has just started crawling…forward. He’s been moving backwards and leaping forward, but now we’re onto forward crawling. Big day since he can move towards his toys instead of away and getting upset. Our daughter has finally decided that sitting isn’t all that bad. Her round little butt is like a weeble wobble and she falls a lot, but she’s finally starting to get the hang of sitting and playing with something. Good times at the zoo.

Yesterday morning, my 19 month old expressed his independence with his verbal ability, in choosing a shirt to wear for the first time!
My husband was dressing him & was putting on a yellow polo and he said “No yellow shirt. Thomas shirt.”
He asked for a specific shirt for the first time!
His speech has been mostly identifying 1-2 word items… or requesting specific junk food (lol)… this is a first for him!
And he announced to his whole daycare class yesterday morning when he walked in that he was wearing “THOMAS” as he pointed to it on his shirt, too!
My 15 month old son is in the middle of the climbing on everything milestone. I went to the bathroom the other day and came out to find him dancing on the kitchen table.
There’s quite a few going on between my two love muffins! My 18 month old son just started acknowledging his grandfather and is saying “Poppy” he also has decided he no longer wants to eat food unless it is dessert. My 3 year old daughter just started Pre-School last week… (that counts right) she is on the Autism Spectrum and it was such a hassle just to get her approved for services… she is doing GREAT… #proudmamma
We are working on potty training but at least he isn’t having accidents at preschool anymore. That counts as a milestone, right?! π (fan on facebook!)

My nearly 2 year old has learned to use the word “no” in context. eat? “no” Diaper change. “no” Huggy? “nononono!” sleepy?”…… “(evil demon voice)NOOOOOOOO!”
My 2 1/2 year old is extremely afraid of public restrooms…loud flushing, scary air dryers, small confined spaces… So we always use a pull up when we leave the house. Last week, I took a huge risk of taking her to the mall sans pull-up and she asked to use the potty! And she actually did! Huge milestone crossed off!
followed and pinned to Pinterest, as well!
My son last milestone was starting to talk … so far we are up to “Mama, Dadda, da-da (ipad), Nana.”
I don’t know if others consider this a milestone, but my just-turned 19 month old son learned to say “Thanks!” last week, and now uses it properly when you give him something. However he won’t repeat “Please” and instead thinks “Thanks” is also used when you’re asking for something hehe π
My “baby” just started Senior Kindergarten and finally leaves her Bunny Bear in her bed in the morning. It took 5 years to get to this day! Oh and she finally puts her own seatbelt on in the car, that was a milestone I was THRILLED about!
He is putting his pants and shoes on all by himself–and usually on the correct feet!
My daughter is Harlow’s age and she is so close to walking! I’m sure she will be there by her birthday!
My 13 month old son started to dance! It is so adorable.
My 18 month old son is saying football whenever he sees football on tv or an actual football. My 4 year old has lesrned the letter sounds of the letters A-K and is also making her own bed now!
My 18 mo. old finally started walking!! As a late walker, it has taken a lot of patience to just wait for her to decide to walk and it was a huge success and relief to see her reach this milestone. She’s excited about it and proud of herself but if I ask her to walk, she still says no. (yes, I’m a fan on FB)
My toddler is now speaking in complete sentences and singing and the baby is crawling!
Pinned the giveaway graphic and I follow you on Pinterest!

My almost 4 year old is writing her own name on her papers at school…which is even more upsetting once I look at all the sweet little baby milestones in the comments.
Our youngest daughter has just started saying “Luv You”. I got it first this time around. They boys all said it to Dad first. Love your blog, follow on FB and Pinterest! Repinned (is that a word?) http://www.pinterest.com/pin/125960120801559063/
Carter is turning 1 yr old at the beginning of November and is starting to walk. Still isn’t sleeping through the night though….how do I get him to do that?!
Followed you on pintrest as well.
My baby just reached week 28 weeks in the womb!!! π only 12 weeks or less until the big debute!!!
My daughter, who is 3, is willing to walk into her bedroom by herself and lay down for bed now! After the night time routine, she knows what she needs to do, and does it. Huge for her!
One of my twin girls, Meredith, peed in the potty (as well as the floor) last week. She’s just shy of 20 months!
My 6 week old has started to coo. It is the sweetest thing! My 16 month old can say a bunch of words all of a sudden including bird, grandma, banana, more, and eggs. She can sign all of those too. I am one proud mama!
Fan of the Facebook page. We recently found out we’re expecting our first (but haven’t told everyone yet so I can’t comment on FB) which I think is a pretty big milestone π
Also followed on Pinterest and shared on my page
Also pinned on Pinterest! π
My daughter is the big 3 1/2 and our most recent milestone was saying the word “Fuck!” And using it in the correct context. Mommy of the year right here!!! PS -I also follow you on FB.
My 12 month old just learned how to blow kisses and we’ll be in trouble soon…she’s almost walking!

Following you on Pinterest and loving Mazzy’s board. I’m currently planning what will be the pinkest 1st birthday party of all time, which happens to be in the fall, so the pink pumpkins have totally inspired me. Thanks, Mazzy! I love her imagination and the things she wants to search for.
She is 2 and thinking about maybe sortof trying to probably pee in the potty. A real milestone? She can call my BS now most of the time. “Oh Mommy!”
I’m a devoted Facebook fan.
My baby crossed off the milestone: Going to kindergarten. Time to work on a new baby now (at least that’s what everyone keeps helpfully telling me.)
We are FINALLY starting to crawl & have 2 teeth at 9 months!! Yay!! Can’t wait for the next ones!!

Well, we’re trying to cross sleeping in the toddler bed all night. Currently we’re down to getting up 2x. (before toddler bed he was sleeping all night…go figure). He also just learned how to count to 10 and show me while counting mom’s fingers!
*IN her crib!
Started following you on pinterest too!!
My 3 year old has just started saying NO. She is Autistic and I thought hat we were lucky to have bypassed this stage. Good thing she’s so cute!
My 9 month old started cruising.
My little man slept in his crib from about 8 pm til about 2 am last night. A huge milestone from the usual 7:00-9:30 in his crib and the only thing I change was rocking him to sleep instead of nursing. π
My 27 month old is counting and saying the alphabet!
Potty Trained before he second birthday! π Thank the Diaper Gods, we are done!!!! π
before her* second birthday, that is…..
Finally sleeping in her own bed all night!
