Giveaway: $200 Gift Card to Babies"R"Us & Pampers Baby Fresh wipes
This month, numerous milestones have been reached and checked off by both of my daughters. Here are two equally big pieces of news…
1) Harlow started walking.
I don't have a good video yet but she's taken at least ten steps on three different occasions. Unfortunately, every time I take out my camera to film her, she lunges for it and messes up her stride entirely.
In case anyone is keeping score at home, Harlow started just shy of 11 months. Yes, I know this will make life more difficult. But I'm still gonna brag about it.
2) Mazzy started pooping on the potty.
Let's be clear. She still fights the urge and holds it in way longer than I think is healthy. But she has now pooped on the potty four times. The first time it happened, Mazzy got up in the morning, walked into the bathroom on her own and two minutes later, yelled, "Mom!!!! I pooped in the potty!!!!"
I walked in and without missing a beat, my daughter deadpanned, "WHERE'S MY PRIZE?"
I told Mazzy we could go to Babies"R"Us that afternoon and she could pick something out herself.
Then I patted myself on the back because, no joke, Pampers had just given me a $200 Babies"R"Us gift card as part of a Swaddlers promotion. The timing could not have worked out better.
That day, I left work early to pick Mazzy up from school. Then we walked over to Babies"R"Us to buy Swaddlers for Harlow and a potty training prize for Mazzy.
I'm pretty sure "The Circle of Life" was playing faintly in the background.
The top floor of Babies"R"Us has tons of toys and Mazzy walked slowly down each aisle to make sure she had selected the best prize possible. This was serious business.
I had to steer Mazzy away from an enormous Cars-themed couch and a dollhouse the size of our apartment, but eventually it came down to a Team Umizoomi set and a Cars-themed LEGO racetrack. Finally, in a surprise twist, Mazzy spotted a talking Daniel Tiger and was instantly smitten.
Even better, Daniel Tiger has an on/off switch.
You'll notice that her hand briefly grazed a shirtless Ken doll. I breathed a sigh of relief when she passed it over. Thank god, we are not at THAT milestone.
With our gift card, we also bought Harlow a walker, her first sippy cup, new pacifiers, Puffs, Gerber GoodStart (I'm down to one pumped bottle of breastmilk a day) and her first pair of shoes with a soleโ she wore them to my cousin's wedding that I talked about yesterday.
Mazzy made out with a new bath toy and a puzzle of the world from Crocodile Creek.

My son is 22 months old and he finally, FINALLY started sleeping through the night. It has been an exceptionally long road of co-sleeping and side car crib to get to this point. He has consistently woke up three or four times a night until about a week ago. He now sleeps 12ish hours a night- I’m so happy about this I don’t even care that those 12 hours happen between 11pm and 11am.
My 3 week old slept for 4 hour last night! Woohoo
the last milestone was starting to walk

My daughter is 20 months old and on Saturday she said Grandma and Grandpa for the first time.
Follow you on Pinterest too and pinned the contest graphic.
My 2 1/2 year old tried making his own lunch today while I was doing laundry… that’s a pretty good milestone, especially if he was on a grape-only diet.
And my 10 month old is cruising all over the place now.
My almost 2 yo reads and recites from memory, the alphabet.. Does that count as a milestone?
In other news, she’s ever more defiant by the day and makes sure to throw more than a few fun
tantrums when she doesn’t get her way. Sigh
My daughter Piper, 11.5 months old, took her first steps this weekend!
My 4 month old rolled over on Saturday! In other news, my 29 month old continues to find ways to express herself, including sitting down to dinner, having a bite of chicken, and announcing clearly, ” I don’t like it.”
My kidlet is in utero and just developed fingernails.
Our 2 month old is smiling – and she just started showing interest in playing with toys, much to our 4 year old ‘s delight.
Our 4 month old has started rolling from her tummy. Her big sister likes to “help” her roll back…
I also pinned the graphic ๐
My foster son is 3 and I finally feel like we have an attachment to each other (I’ve had him 2 months)! That’s a milestone in my book
I pinned it too
My two-year-old climbed out of her crib for the first time this week. Looks like it’s time for a big girl bed!
Follow you on Pinterest and pinned the graphic.
My daughter started pulling up to standing at 7.5 months. Growing and changing every day!
My 17 month old started saying “I love you!” Granted, it’s more like “I luuuu!” but close enough for me!
My 11 month old started giving high-five’s!
Our last milestone was potty training – including poo and making it through the night dry!
And I pinned! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/64035625925346823/
My 18 month old can count to 5.
Following you on Pinterest and repinned!!!
Not sure if this is cheating, but my baby is now full-term and ready to come out – that’s a milestone for us!
I am a FB fan! My daughter’s latest milestone is that she’s turning 4 next week. We’re having her first bday party this weekend where her friends from school have been invited, so it should be a chaotic and fun weekend! ๐
Pinned the giveaway graphic and I follow you on Pinterest! @livelykcole on Pinterest
latest milestone? my 2 1/2 year old learned how to throw a purely manipulative tantrum that she can turn off in the blink of an eye.
My 7 month old started taking long naps and is sitting up like a champ!
My 3 1/2 year oldbis finally potty trained. Finally. He also took forever to poop on the potty and actually had to be put on miralax because he held his poop for 4 days. That is the level of stubbornness I am dealing with, people. I also pinned your graphic!
I like you on Facebook. The last milestone was potty training!

We had our 33 week ultrasound yesterday and our daughter yawned! It was adorable. I know she’s not born yet, but I think that’s a milestone!
My 16 month old has a new hobby – climbing on the kitchen table and dancing.

I’m a fb fan!
Benjamin (12 months) just said his sister’s name for the first time. ๐
Follow you on pinterest and pinned the graphic!
I’m a FB fan! My 11 month old just took his first steps, but he’s not in Harlow’s league yet. He’ll only take 2 steps at a time, and then sits down.
My son Bennett (almost 16 months) finally just pointed at me and said “Mama.” After months of babbling mama with no real purpose, he finally made the connection ๐
My 2 1/2 year old is finally totally potty trained! He even makes it through nap time dry most of the time! SO HAPPY.
I’m a facebook fan ๐
I follow you on Pinterest and I pinned the graphic!
My 13-month-old is walking tiny bits at a time – I wouldn’t say he’s “walking” yet, but I’m excited for this milestone nonetheless!
My “potty trained” 2 year old had her first major regression yesterday…5 pairs of pants and undies when the day was done. Not all milestones are super fun=)
My 11.5 month old started walking this weekend! Can go a good 10 feet without stopping or falling if he’s really determined, like when he’s making a beeline for my cell phone or the TV remote…
My 8-month old says Mama (and knows that’s my “name” – she cries “Mama, mama, MA-MA!!!” whenever I leave the room). She also has pretty much mastered the commando style of crawling.
My “baby” is almost 3, and my next baby is 37 weeks along, due any day now. The latest milestone for our daughter was when she started pedaling her tricycle! She also recently moved to a big-girl bed and counted to 30. It’s a fun time! (And of course I follow you on Facebook.)
Following on Pinterest and I pinned the graphic!
Hooray for Harlow walking – walking is so much easier to deal with than crawling, in my opinion! Mia (almost 13 months) started sleeping through the night within the last month and it has been nothing short of amazing.
My daughter can finally say ‘poop’. Yes, this is a momentous occasion. It’s no longer a case of ‘sniff-sniff-what’s-that-smell’. =D
I am 31 weeks along and had started potty training my 2.5 year old, then September happened. Suffice to say, it was very hard on all of us and potty training had to be put on the back burner. We started again and my boy is doing so well! Hopefully we can be well on our way to only having to pay for diapers for one here very soon.
Potty Training!!!!
Done and done (pinterest that is) -my 6 month old is (FINALLY) sleeping through the night and rolling over (he is a big guy and rolling over has been quite the challenge). Love this blog!
I need to know the “hidden pee” secret. The latest milestone is working on big boy underwear for longer stretches of time.
Rolling over. Still waiting on the sitting up unassisted though….
My son has autism and is complety non verbal (he’s 4), last week he peed in the potty for the first time and now seems interested!!! It’s huge! So proud of him. We’d love to share some new toys with him for his accomplishments!
My 4yo has started consistently washing her own hair in the bath. No more fights! It rules!
I follow on Pinterest and pinned the graphic
Our milestone is my 4 month old slept for 8 hours straight last night. It was beautiful!!!!
Zachary just started crawling!
My milestone is my 3 year old buckling herself into her car seat. LOVE that. And if we won, she’d go nuts either buying books (but not Dora books — she tore down her Dora poster last week and we gave away all her Dora books soon after that — yea!)or shoes. She loves shoes as much as she loves chocolate. ๐
He now says “Please” when he whines for something.
My almost 3 year old has been willing sitting on the potty. He really wants that jelly bean for actually going in it. My 5.5 year old has started reading which is awesome. I’m also 37 weeks pregnant, so that milestone would be reaching full term I guess! Expecting my third boy any day now!
I am a genius and recently learned to count to ten in Spanish. Full disclaimer: I don’t know that they are numbers, but I can say them in order. – Duke, age 2 (not a baby!)
My 3 1/2 year old learned to write his name and says thank you without having to be reminded all in the last month. My 10 month old starting saying mama. Proud moments for me!
I pinned you http://www.pinterest.com/sherrykate/kidsproducts/ and am a fan on Facebook.
Logan just started going from sitting position to crawling position to sitting position to crawling position to sitting position and so on? Lol I swear he can do that for hours!
My almost 7-month old has started rolling and scooting. She’s immediately going after the older kiddos’ toys and has gotten stuck under the couch twice.
Our daughter turned two on October 1 and is officially potty trained!! Wahoo! Meanwhile my son, 11 weeks, slept a whole 7 hours in a row last night! I am a proud mama.
Ps I just pinned to my Pinterest board too !!! ๐
Does eye rolling and attitude at six YO count? Honestly I thought I had another 5-6 years before we got there … Sigh.
My almost-three-year old put her own pajamas on last night. Backwards, but whatevs.
My “baby” is currently learning two dance routines, for two different dance classes. Instead of the one we’ve been accustomed to. She Is 6, and Fierce ๐
I pinned & followed.
Saturday night was the first time my husband and I had a ‘date night’ since becoming parents. There was an Parents’ Night out at my son’s preschool, and we left him there for two hours and went to a friends engagement party.
He survived. He’s also three. ๐
We recently made all the sippy cups disappear. My 2.5 YO now drinks her milk or juice from a “big girl cup” and water froma water bottle with a straw. She has one other “straw cup” we let her use when she wants milk in the living room – I’m not ready to let those open cups out of the kitchen yet!
Mom pinned it, too
My soon to be 13 mo old has even talking since 9 months and now has a creepily full vocabulary and says short sentences. You’d think that would be amazing, but paired with the fact that she’s super small and doesn’t walk, it’s a food way to scare people in the store. Yesterday… SHE WALKED. She was so, so proud of herself!! Maybe she won’t be such a tiny creep anymore… ๐ ๐
second comment to say I pinned the picure (and I’m a FB fan)
I pinned! My 9 month old princess, Giuliana, is threatening to walk any second. She’s crossed off the ‘scoot between the sectional’ milestone this week!
My 17 month old said “love you!” last night for the first time. Of course, it sounded like “yo-yo,” but I knew what he was saying.
My son started walking right before 11 months, he’ll be 1 in a week!
My 22 month old baby boy pooped on his Cars potty for the first time last Thursday!
Love your blog and have followed you on FB forever. My big boy just learned how to take his shirt off by himself – he shimmies it down over his booty so he doesn’t have to take his glasses off Cutest thing ever!!
We just turned the car seat around for my 2 year old son. He loves it – yay – but now he rarely falls asleep in it when we need him to – boo.
I love reading your posts/blogs! My boys are almost 5 and 2! My almost 5 year old is FINALLY sleeping in his own big boy bed in his room with his brother! SCORE! And my not even 2 year old can do his alphabet with ease…I’d LOVE to win the Babies R Us gift card!!
My daughter is 17 months old and is starting to learn how to go poop in the potty! We celebrate with tiny marshmallows and a song about pooping in the potty! ๐
Have a 3.5 month old, and we have just started teething…
I pinned the post on Pinterest!

Our 35 weeker, born 8/16, just started sleeping in two hour chunks a night. My world is almost functional. ;p
My daughter is 7 months old this week and she’s mastered the army crawl; she lifts her butt on occasion but we think it will be a few weeks before she legitimately crawls. I don’t mind if she takes her time, though, because we haven’t finished baby proofing our condo! (I’m already a fan on FB).
My 4 1/2 month old just started rolling over!
My daughter is 14 mos old and she starting to initiate to feed herself using spoons and fork. Though its so messy when im gving her food on her own plate atleast she’s trying to show how to be more independent.
My little man has learned to slam the door. We were uncertain he really understood what he was doing until he closed the door from a fully open position. This means he might not have a door too much longer.
pinned!
My 10 month of twins – B finally pulled up over the weekend and A has done a little mini-cruising.
Lil Cambear is 3months old and is doing the lil mini push-ups during tummy time. Now if I nan just get his almost 3year old brother Potty trained..THAT’S a frickn milestone I look forward to ๐
My youngest (14 months) is down to just using his binky for naps and night time. Maybe he won’t have the wonky teeth his older siblings got from prolonged bink use?
My 6 week old is rocking at social smiles!!!
My daughter signed her first no-doubt-about-it-that-was-definitely-a-sign-sign last night. She was undoubtedly motivated by her favorite snack, strawberry puffs, but the sign was intentional and unmistakably an intent to communicate!!
