Giveaway: $200 Gift Card to Babies"R"Us & Pampers Baby Fresh wipes
This month, numerous milestones have been reached and checked off by both of my daughters. Here are two equally big pieces of news…
1) Harlow started walking.
I don't have a good video yet but she's taken at least ten steps on three different occasions. Unfortunately, every time I take out my camera to film her, she lunges for it and messes up her stride entirely.
In case anyone is keeping score at home, Harlow started just shy of 11 months. Yes, I know this will make life more difficult. But I'm still gonna brag about it.
2) Mazzy started pooping on the potty.
Let's be clear. She still fights the urge and holds it in way longer than I think is healthy. But she has now pooped on the potty four times. The first time it happened, Mazzy got up in the morning, walked into the bathroom on her own and two minutes later, yelled, "Mom!!!! I pooped in the potty!!!!"
I walked in and without missing a beat, my daughter deadpanned, "WHERE'S MY PRIZE?"
I told Mazzy we could go to Babies"R"Us that afternoon and she could pick something out herself.
Then I patted myself on the back because, no joke, Pampers had just given me a $200 Babies"R"Us gift card as part of a Swaddlers promotion. The timing could not have worked out better.
That day, I left work early to pick Mazzy up from school. Then we walked over to Babies"R"Us to buy Swaddlers for Harlow and a potty training prize for Mazzy.
I'm pretty sure "The Circle of Life" was playing faintly in the background.
The top floor of Babies"R"Us has tons of toys and Mazzy walked slowly down each aisle to make sure she had selected the best prize possible. This was serious business.
I had to steer Mazzy away from an enormous Cars-themed couch and a dollhouse the size of our apartment, but eventually it came down to a Team Umizoomi set and a Cars-themed LEGO racetrack. Finally, in a surprise twist, Mazzy spotted a talking Daniel Tiger and was instantly smitten.
Even better, Daniel Tiger has an on/off switch.
You'll notice that her hand briefly grazed a shirtless Ken doll. I breathed a sigh of relief when she passed it over. Thank god, we are not at THAT milestone.
With our gift card, we also bought Harlow a walker, her first sippy cup, new pacifiers, Puffs, Gerber GoodStart (I'm down to one pumped bottle of breastmilk a day) and her first pair of shoes with a soleβ she wore them to my cousin's wedding that I talked about yesterday.
Mazzy made out with a new bath toy and a puzzle of the world from Crocodile Creek.

My daughter is almost 13 months old. A week after turning one she started walking unassisted. This week she started standing up on her own without holding on to anything! The move so fast!
I’m a FB fan! My son will be 1 on Nov 7th. His two most recent milestones are walking on his own and clapping. Sorry, I know you said one but I am too excited about both!
Unfortunately, the most recent milestone for our little guy is being the victim of a koala-toothed serial biter at daycare. In a related milestone, he appears to be mastering the evasive barrel roll.

My 9 month old is pulling up on everything and is FINALLY tolerating solids, so we’ve finally been able to feed him something besides a bottle. Everyone’s happy (especially mommy!!).
My babies aren’t babies anymore – at 4 and 7, it’s easy to miss the milestones. But, my 7 year old has crossed firmly into chapter book reading and my 4 year old just swam a length of the YMCA pool solo. Proud mama, indeed!
My 16 month old is beginning to parrot more words back to us. The latest (besides no!) are cow, car, ball, love you, doggie, and Casey.
My 11 month old just started taking his first steps.
Poop in the potty! Let’s celebrate! I won’t call my 2 year old potty trained yet but we have had a lot of successful trips to the potty!
Followed you on pinterest & pinned http://www.pinterest.com/pin/246712885810699607/
My little guy, Sage, just turned 6 months old and started crawling – backwards! I’m sure he’ll figure out how to go forward soon π
My son, Georges, will be 2 next week. He is learning to count! Today he was playing with dominos and said “one, two, three, five, six, seven, nine, ten…” It’s a start!
My daughter is 3 and for the first time last week, she started to talk in English to her teacher and classmates. We are French and speak French at home. She is fluent in French and is catching up quickly with English. So proud of her!(I also follow you on FB)
Pinned! Good luck everyone!
My son started walking! Better late than never!
My son learned to shake his head No. This might seem bad but is actually an improvement of the hand swat move he was using to tell us No before!
My daughter, who will be 4 in a month, also recently mastered pooping on the potty after many months of holding it in and pooping discreetly in the corner of the living room (in her underwear, of course, not on the floor a la the Monchichi debacle)!
My 8-month old pulls to standing now at every opportunity.
My 4 year old finally mastered his letter sounds!
We’re crossing off milestones two at a time too, but I only have one baby. This weekend he got his first ear infection π and his first tooth! π
Wow, I pinned it! This is my first time pinning something like this- Neat!
I don’t think I need to tell you I’m a FB fan π
1) My almost-4-year-old can dress herself after her bath, and my husband taught her how to gargle water when she is brushing her teeth
2) My 4 month old laughed (upon being tickled) for the first time a week or two ago. I also swear to god she’s trying to crawl when we do Tummy Time… (Life of a second child…)
Does that get me two entries? π
My daughter just turned 1 and is taking a few steps on her own! She isn’t as confident in walking by herself as she should be but we are working on it!
followed and pinned!
I also pinned your graphic. d0llfacekilla (that is a zero instead of an o) π
I pinned the image as well! π
My 3 year old no longer wears pull ups to bed and hasn’t had a naptime or bedtime accident in over 2 months!
Milestone for all of us – Mom and dad went away for a wedding or a whole weekend and grandma and grandpa were in charge π
Also just followed you on Pinterest and pinned your graphic:

After months of cruising around holding on to furniture, my 14 month old daughter has finally decided to walk, there’s no stopping her now!
My 8 month old started crawling (with his butt up!) to escape his 2 year old sister trying to put a princess crown on him! And my 2 year old went in her first bouncy house (not exactly a milestone but a big deal for us because we have spent the last few months insisting on taking off our shoes, going to the enterance and then epically melting down so yay!)
Everything is going so fast…it’s making my head spin!
My “baby” is 3yr 4mo and we’ve successfully crossed off the potty training and the dry-through-the-night milestones. She’s even started sleeping completely through the night in her own bed (she’s been wandering into my bed about 3am from her toddler bed for a year). And just this morning, she had her first full dental cleaning visit! Teeth counting, tickling and polishing, with no tears or clamped mouth! I couldn’t be prouder of that “no cavities” declaration. Six months ago, we just got through the counting part…
My 4 month old just started rolling over! My 3 year old is just on the brink of getting this potty training thing, tho he’s still pretty resistant. Yesterday he pooped his pants 3 times and twice he stuck his hand in the pull-up to check. Yuck!!!!
And while I’m bragging about my kiddos milestones I can forget: my 1st grader read his bedtime story to me last night! I’m so proud of his hard work!!
My 13 month old started walking π

Am a fan on Facebook! Would love to win! The latest milestone is my baby girl down to one feeding a night at 3 months. So glad she’s “following the book” because her brother didn’t sleep this long this soon!! And congrats on Mazzy pooping in the potty! Her prizes are awesome.
Potty training my daughter! Only took 3 days so I was lucky π
Oh, what a perfect post for the hell that was my weekend! lol. WELL, first I decided to try the 3 day potty training method for my stubborn 3 year old, Liam. Everything else has failed and short of showing up at college with diapers, this was my last hope. In the trash every diaper went Saturday morning and the accidents ensued. Well, we got through Saturday and got little to no sleep that night due to bed wetting. Sunday morning comes way too soon and my 1 y/o Layla wakes up a cranky, cranky baby…she’s typically happy, always so this was a serious change. Well, me and hubby realize that she’s cutting teeth. This kid has lived with 2 bottom teeth for 6 months now and this weekend of all weekends, it’s like she knew we needed her to be well behaved. The whining, refusing to eat and really gross diapers followed. Fast forward to Monday morning, I wake up after my solid 2 hours of sleep and my son has let loose on my carpet RIGHT OUTSIDE the bathroom…I wasn’t sure how much is bladder could hold but apparently enough to fill a large swimming pool. As I’m cleaning that I smell something…what’s that? Poop?! The girl has poop to her hairline bc it’s so runny from her teething. As I’m dealing with Lake Eerie and miss poops a lot the dog knocks over a glass of iced tea on said carpet…okay, not a milestone but was the icing on the cake. We’re still potty training (3 days my ass) but we’re doing good! I got 4 hours of sleep last night so I guess I should be grateful. Baby girl’s teeth finally came through so she’s a little less miserable. Have kids they said, it’ll be fun they said. lol. If you can’t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?
My 15-month-old said one intelligible word “baby,” and used it in the correct context.
My just-turned four-year-old made it through 17 hours in the car, TWICE, without any tears or a single whine. Thank God.
My 15th month old peed on the potty twice… I sound like one of those parents but this also happened with my 3 year old and it stopped and then came back again. I’m still proud of her and sad they are growing up so fast!!
My 8 month old twin boys are both crawling. So excited. Thanks for the giveaway!
~Pam
My 6 month old just got 4 teeth in a week!! (It’s been a rough week…)
My 15 mo old son is learning new words everyday (current favorite, calling every animal a kitty) he just walked in the room and and said “I poop” so maybe it’s time to start thinking about potty training. My newly turned five year old is starting to read books! I’m very excited about this. I’m a fb fan, but my phone won’t let me sign in on fb for some reason.
My 8 month old has started cruising the furniture and stood up in the crib for the first time today!
My 10 month old recently learned to pull up to stand, so now when we get him in the morning or after naps, he is peeking over the crib rail, grinning ear-to-ear. π
I follow you on Pinterst and pinned the image. Yay for Harlow walking so soon. I kinda like it when they can walk bc then I don’t have to carry them or bend down and strain my back to hold their hands while they walk.
My youngest daughter is very near Mazzy in age so we’re also rocking the first poop in the potty milestone this week!
Baby boy is 10 months old and started cruising the furniture. All was going well until he grabbed ahold of the dog and was taken for the ride of his life.
Last milestone for baby was crawling 6.5mo & big girl learned to JUMP !
Pinned it! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/270849365063337170/

Pinterest done also π
My almost 4 month old lil guy has been rolling from front to back for about 6 weeks but just started rolling from back to front. It’s becoming increasingly more interesting attempting to get him to stay on his back for more than 20 seconds; diaper changes, clothes changes, etc. not too far down the road he’ll be sitting by himself! Crazy how fast time flies!
My 2.5yo just made the switch to a big boy bed that was OFF the ground last month (long story short, he’s huge and we had to have a single mattress on the floor since he was 1.5yo) and my 8 month old has made the switch to solids. I’m a FB fan!
Potty training my daughter! Only took 3 days so I was lucky π
My 2 yr old is finally staying in her room in HER bed all night! Third night in a row to wake up without feet in my face… It’s the little things…
Pinned! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/52987733089488016/
My 4 1/2 month old can sit up now! We have to get him there but he is such a big boy.
Pinterest follower and pinned the graphic. Love Mazzy’s pins!
My (speech-delayed) son stung 3 words together to form a sentence … without prompting!! I just about did a cartwheel I was so excited.
My 6 month old twins started sitting up! Hooray!
My 3 1/2 year old can download apps to the tablet at an alarming rate. My 2 year old has mastered the phrase “I want that” in reference to every toy commercial on tv and my 6 month old can say “mama”. Whew I’m exhausted!!
This past weekend my 25mo daughter potty trained!
FB fan. Our daughter’s last milestone was standing independently. We are close to walking, but not there yet.
My one year old slept through the night for the first time Saturday!! Patience paid off π
My one year old started saying and signing “more” last night!
And… now I’m a pinterest follower too <3

I pinned it!!
My 2.5yo sang the ABC song correctly!
My 19 month old is officially off of his bottle. That was the hardest fight EVER. Milk in a sippy cup disgusted him since I introduced it 7 months ago! Not sure if this is a traditional milestone, but Finley finally pooped in the tub after 19 months of avoiding that. Everyone warned me that it would happen but you can’t prepare for something like THAT.
already follow, and pinned!
My 4 month old has his first cold. nothing sadder than a baby with a stuffed up nose.
My daughter Josie, 8 months old (adjusted for prematurity- 6 months old), has just mastered rolling to her belly without getting stuck on her arm. She is currently working very hard at crawling. Time to get some baby gates from Babies R Us!
followed and pinned
My one year old son just started eating with a spoon. Granted, he picks up food from his tray, puts it on the spoon then puts the spoon in his mouth, but I still count it as eating with a spoon. π
My youngest, 26 months is finally, consistently putting 2 and 3 word sentences together. π
We have an 11 month old walker too!
And a three year old who refuses all pullups. And routinely wets the bed. Sigh.
At 8 months my daughter has mastered climbing the bottom stair, insists on walking ejth her walker for hours a day, and my new favourite – has figured out the buttons on the various items on the TV stand.
My 3 year old has finally mastered taking her shirt off without help and putting on her coat without help!
both of my kiddos peed in the potty for the first time the same weekend a few weeds ago. we still have a long way to go but at least step one is done!
my baby girl just started crawling!

My 6 month old is happily starting solids. Seeing as how she keeps slapping the food out of my hands when I eat, I think she was so ready. Now to get a highchair…
Last milestone was geting my little one (who just turned 2!) into her very own “big girl bed” in her own room! We co-slept with her in a cosleeper and then in our bed when she was old enough and had out grown the sleeper, since birth.
Also following you on Pinterest, and pinned! π
My 9month old baby just learned how to stand up in her crib!!! Now she gets stuck and doesn’t know how to lay back down π

I am a FB fan! This is an amazing prize. My daughters latest milestone is letting her pregnant mama take a nap at home without crying at the door π
My son is 23 months and he is peeing in the potty. But he will only use the toddler urinal that was given to me. Its hilarious but a great milestone!
I am 16 weeks preggo and I am told the little bambino can now hear! I’d say that’s a pretty big milestone!
My older daughter (2 years) pooped on the potty a few weeks ago. My younger daughter (7 weeks) just rolled from belly to back the other day.
My baby isn’t born yet but we’re finally feeling kicks!
Does getting into the bathtub himself count as a milestone? My 1 year old has decided each time his 4 year old sister takes a bath, it’s essential that he join her. He’s gotten in clothes and all 3x now. :/ He also already has 15 teeth. CRAZY!!!
I also follow Mommy Shorts on Pinterest and pinned your grasphic
I also pinned on pinterest!
My “baby” just turned 4. He told me the other day his heart won’t let him hold my hand anymore. π I guess you could say his milestone is independence. I know it’s necessary for him to grow up to distance himself from me to an extent, but I’m not ready for this one. My heart simultaneously breaks and swells with pride for the child he’s growing into.
Followed and pinned!
My 18 mo just learned how to say thank you. Or her version a sing songy “tee teee!” Seriously cute.

My 3 year old sent himself to his chair to calm down when I wouldn’t allow him to scribble all over my papers… Coming from a child that usually dissolves into a teary, whiney, foot-stamping mess- this is a huge step for us! I was so proud when he came back and told me that he was calm now and he would be happy to color in his book instead π (I’m already a fan on FB)
