Check out Olivia, daughter of Karen Abad, and lover of really good television. Olivia likes to dress up as her favorite characters from shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and House of Cards.
Who knows when she finds the time? Probably while her mother is napping or something.
Speaking of House of Cards, below is what my "recently watched" screen looks like on Netflix. The Underwoods would be appalled if they knew the company they were keeping.
Thanks to Natasha for sending me a link to Olivia. Truth be told, this is SLIGHTLY similar to an idea I've been cooking up for the past few months. I'm gonna forge ahead anyway. There's room on the internet for both of us, right?
If you have a tip, please post it on the Mommy Shorts facebook page.
Frank Underwood, Dexter and The Ladies of Litchfield no longer mingle with Winnie the Pooh + Friends. Mama’s got her very own Netflix account! That’s mostly a good thing because I’m not sure how you’re supposed to explain why Dexter’s face is Saran Wrapped to a four year old.
Love this idea, it’s a lot like the Mila’s Daydreams blog was before she got her book deal. Olivia is adorable!
You can set up different profiles on Netflix, and set it to where Mazzy has her own. You can set it to the children settings. This frees up your own account for adult tv! I was so tired of recommendations for our daughters shows! Now its all movies and tv shows we actually are interested in!
I was going to suggest this too- this is what we do now. I don’t want to see any cartoons when I want to drink wine and veg out!
It’s been fun watching the evolution of my Netflix screen. Once upon a time there were only my shows, then some children’s shows popped up. The next thing I knew, their shows took over and there were hardly any adult shows. But it’s been slowly returning to normal now that my children have their own profiles. I’m so glad Netflix added that option… though my husband complains that he doesn’t have his own profile.
