Giveaway: $200 Gift Card to Babies"R"Us & Pampers Baby Fresh wipes
This month, numerous milestones have been reached and checked off by both of my daughters. Here are two equally big pieces of news…
1) Harlow started walking.
I don't have a good video yet but she's taken at least ten steps on three different occasions. Unfortunately, every time I take out my camera to film her, she lunges for it and messes up her stride entirely.
In case anyone is keeping score at home, Harlow started just shy of 11 months. Yes, I know this will make life more difficult. But I'm still gonna brag about it.
2) Mazzy started pooping on the potty.
Let's be clear. She still fights the urge and holds it in way longer than I think is healthy. But she has now pooped on the potty four times. The first time it happened, Mazzy got up in the morning, walked into the bathroom on her own and two minutes later, yelled, "Mom!!!! I pooped in the potty!!!!"
I walked in and without missing a beat, my daughter deadpanned, "WHERE'S MY PRIZE?"
I told Mazzy we could go to Babies"R"Us that afternoon and she could pick something out herself.
Then I patted myself on the back because, no joke, Pampers had just given me a $200 Babies"R"Us gift card as part of a Swaddlers promotion. The timing could not have worked out better.
That day, I left work early to pick Mazzy up from school. Then we walked over to Babies"R"Us to buy Swaddlers for Harlow and a potty training prize for Mazzy.
I'm pretty sure "The Circle of Life" was playing faintly in the background.
The top floor of Babies"R"Us has tons of toys and Mazzy walked slowly down each aisle to make sure she had selected the best prize possible. This was serious business.
I had to steer Mazzy away from an enormous Cars-themed couch and a dollhouse the size of our apartment, but eventually it came down to a Team Umizoomi set and a Cars-themed LEGO racetrack. Finally, in a surprise twist, Mazzy spotted a talking Daniel Tiger and was instantly smitten.
Even better, Daniel Tiger has an on/off switch.
You'll notice that her hand briefly grazed a shirtless Ken doll. I breathed a sigh of relief when she passed it over. Thank god, we are not at THAT milestone.
With our gift card, we also bought Harlow a walker, her first sippy cup, new pacifiers, Puffs, Gerber GoodStart (I'm down to one pumped bottle of breastmilk a day) and her first pair of shoes with a soleโ she wore them to my cousin's wedding that I talked about yesterday.
Mazzy made out with a new bath toy and a puzzle of the world from Crocodile Creek.

My daughter is almost 3 and her latest milestone is diving headfirst off of the balance beam into a forward roll at gymnastics class! And she landed it! And no, she wasn’t supposed to do it, and she got in trouble for it, but we were secretly a little impressed.
Congrats Mazzy! I really wish I could say that my 3yr old son is pooping on the potty, but no =(. We thought he was fully potty trained, but has been pooping in his pants lately. WE should get a special prize just for being the ones to clean out his underwear! However, he did overcome his huge fear of heights the other night when we went to a fall festival. He went into one of those bounce house obstacles and climbed the huge ladder to go down the slide. He was so proud of himself and so excited, he couldn’t wait to do it again. I was so excited for him that he is no longer afraid. Now, if he would just allow his 10 month old brother to try to crawl and NOT sit on top of him, we’ll be good. LOL
I just followed you on Pinterest and pinned the Babies R Us image!
My 22 month old just recently starting talking like crazy! Add that to his maniac crazy ways and we are in for a ride – along with his two older sisters Adisen (6) and Drew (4)!
My eldest is only “pee trained” so we havent quite mastered pooping in the potty. 2 month old is able to track things with his eyes! Afraid of when he starts walking like little Harlow.
My oldest is turning 6 (on Thursday) and my youngest just turned 2 in August.
My oldest is now reading and writing like a champ, and my youngest is finally talking in sentences, and she just learned to ride a tricycle.
I fondly remember the “circle of life” you speak of. My youngest was just born as my oldest was potty training. So I’ve basically been changing every single day for the last 6 years. :/
Pinned it!
My two year old just knocked out his two front teeth. So we crossed that milestone about 3 years too soon. Boys!!!
My little girl just got her first tooth.
Following you on Pinterest!
Forgot to mention I started following on Pinterest and pinned the graphic ๐
My 7 month old just started crawling!
We have also, in the past two weeks, gotten our daughter to start pooping in the potty!
My son started walking about a month ago! And just this morning, my daughter got over her fear of wolves while at the zoo. ๐
My 2 year old started using big girl words, Dog and Cat instead of puppy and kitty.
I’m definitely a facebook fan! My daughter just started walking too!
My daughter Grace is just over two and her newest milestone was crossed last night… telling me I’m sassy and should go to Grace’s Bed (we will set her on the couch or her bed when she needs a moment to calm down). It was said in all seriousness with a stern voice and finger wag…. and it was all I could do not to burst out laughing it was so completely adorable. Telling mommy she needs a timeout is a milestone, right?
Following on Pinterest and pinned the graphic, too!
My son (26 months) crossed the serious actual milestone of taking off his own shoes/socks/pants/shirt in the past few weeks; in a more comical milestone he has finally realized boys are different than girls (or mommy) and relishes the opportunity to announce that he, in fact has a pee pee, and that mommy doesn’t have a pee pee but has 2 butts insert ornery toddler giggle shoulders up hands over mouth like he knows a really big really funny secret.
Following on pinterest and re-pinned the contest graphic.
Pinned it, like a champ!

Our little guy is fairly little (5 months), but he’s mastered rolling over, both ways, and he can blow out a diaper with the best of them.
Can I just say that I’m actually dreading the impending milestone of solid foods? I will miss our nursing time, and I wish that he’d stay little forever.
I’m a Facebook fan. That’s how I found you. Also follow on Pinterest and pinned the graphic.
My almost four year old typed his name on the IPad by himself! Technology kids.
My 18 month old adds new words to his vocabulary daily and copies everything big brother does!
According to my pregnancy app, my son Jaxon, just developed sleeping patterns and his fingernails have reached the end of his fingers! My 5 year old came home from kindergarten with a perfectly written sentence yesterday! So the kids are obviously over-achievers. I’m already a fan on FB and pinterest, but yay for extra comments!
I’m a fan on pinterest and FB!
My two month old is grinning real big when she sees mommy or daddy!
My baby boy is about to be a big brother!!!
My son recognized he had to poop on the potty all by himself today and did!
My three-year-old now can take her own shoes and socks off–yay! But she doesn’t really want to. Boo!
Oh boy, where to start ! My five year old just lost his first tooth, my 2 1/2 yr old just started to go pee-pee on the potty, and my 7 mo old started solid foods!
My 8 month old pulling herself up on EVERYTHING! Also, we just got our daycare/preschool pictures back and BOTH kids are smiling – that is a huge milestone if you ask me.
Nola, 23 months, started talking in full sentences today! “Momma, I found my Teddy”. Music to my ears on several levels!
Cheers!
My three-year-old can get her shoes and socks off. Yay! She doesn’t really want to though. Boo!

My 2 year old daughter is officially in a “i hate my mom” phase. It’s a milestone that I can do without!
Daughter #2 will have her first birthday in two days.
Followed & pinned.
Our little man just started tickling us back after a rousing game of “Tickle Monster.” For some reason, this excited me almost as much as his first words.
Quinn is doing great at saying please and thank you without being told.
My 21-month-old son has started taking his own shirt off, singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by himself, and stringing multiple words together, like “Daddy, where are you?”

My ex 27 weeker now 18 months, started standing all by himself for up to 10 seconds! Proud mommy moments ๐ Hopefully we’ll be able to cross walking off soon.
My 11 month year old daughter started walking between 6-10 steps at a time and finally got her first tooth, both in the past week. Exciting stuff!
My 22 month old daughter went “pee-pee on the pot-tay” (must be sung and danced to, a la “Look Who’s Talking”) twice this weekend!
My two year old started counting to ten!
(And I just gave birth to his baby brother 10 days ago, so that’s a huge milestone in our family’s history!)
I also follow and pinned!
my 2 1/2 year old son has started making connections, like if Daddy is at work, and Uncle Ken is at work, they must be working together. Inaccurate inferrence, but none the less a step up!
miss 11 month old (born the same day as Harlow!) has just started cruising. So proud of my little poppet!

My 3 month old is starting to hold his head up on his own for longer than a few seconds! He’s growing up way to fast!
Emma is turning over, finally.making tummy time fun. I’m a fan on fb.
My daughter’s latest milestone has been – starting nursery school this month! and incidentally forgetting how to pee on the potty (which she had been doing like a champ up until this month)!
Hmmmmm…..milestones…..I should probably write these down somewhere.
The 11 month old can stand on her own for a few seconds at a time.
And the 3 year old has figured out how to open magnetic child locks. Not a milestone I’m too thrilled about….
My 18 month old just cut his last canine! Woot!
Pinned yo pic!
Magnus Is 6 months and said his first word on saturday. We were at the pumpkin patch when dad came into his view, he gave a big smile then said “dada”
My daughter is just starting potty training. She will be 3 in February. I’m wondering if she will ever actually be potty trained.. Her last milestone was learning to ride a bike! I’m a proud mommy ๐
My daughter said her first word beyond Mama and Dada the other day! Kitty!! She loves animals soooo much!
Pinned! =)

Weeelll, I’ve had some interesting milestones in the last couple of months… My 10 year old started noticing girls, aaannnd we had to have “The Sex Talk” **Squirms** That was uncomfortable…. My 3 and 1/2 year old said her first cuss word, (ohh fun times in the middle of the grocery store!!) HOWEVER, she also said her ABC’s (with pointing at the letters) recently!!! My youngest (20 months old) also reached a huge milestone recently, he started going potty on the potty chair!!! **Happy Dance** the awesome thing about it is that I didn’t even have to do anything, he saw his sister doing it and he copied her!!!
I also follow you on Pintrest and I have Pinned the above graphic!!! ๐
My 3yo is learning some “fun” new language from a friend at school. I almost fell over when he said shut up this weekend. Next milestone is becoming a big brother in December.
My baby just got his learner’s permit. ๐
My son is 8 months old and in the same week learned to pull himself up and crawl. He loves to pull himself up but forgets to hold on and constantly is falling. MY LIFE IS NOW OVER. thank you very much.
The crawling has started for my little nugget! He’s not very good at it yet but he’s getting there. I was hoping to have more time before investing in some baby gates for the ridiculous amount of stairs I have!
My milestone involves both of my kiddies. My 2 1/2 year-old son, and 8 month-old daughter started becoming friends! This past week, my son has really started to enjoy having a baby sister, and has been letting her play with some of his toys, mainly his cars. They “share” toys now. I worried for a long time if my son would like having a sibling, and wondered if they would ever become friends. Watching them makes my heart melt with love and pride. It’s the cutest, sweetest thing!
My 6 week old started smiling last week! Big milestone!!
2 year old said “I love you Mama”! 8 month old pulled up to standing!
I pinned it!
My 6 month old just started laughing a real hardy laugh.
I repinned on Pinterest!
My 3 yr old is now pull up free at night which means no more buying them! Woo hoo! More $$ to spend on my 3 week old baby’s diapers ๐
My baby girl just started sitting up by herself.
Pinned ๐ under my baby board.
My 7 month old has most recently mastered the art of crawling <3
I pinned your pin on pinterest ๐
My 2 year old stopped using her pacifier and started peeing in the potty, she isn’t a baby anymore ;0(
I’m a FB fan! I’ll double up on the milestones – one for each of my boys: our 3 year old now can now read the alphabet and numbers and has finally started writing while our 1 year old has discovered the joy of being nuddy and helps undress himself now!
My almost five year old has started to read on his own. The joy on his face when he read his first sentence is something I will never forget.
My 4 yr daughter is potty trained!
Pinned it! Here> http://www.pinterest.com/pin/39125090486562377/
My 15 month old son learned how to shake his finger while saying “no no no no..”. He’s usually correcting himself, but sometimes it is directed at me.
My 4 year old is now a scientists and questions my every move. My 3 year old is now potty trained and a whiner. My 7 month old is now refusing to eat baby food and believes he is a toddler but still refuses to crawl because he has a numan carriage-Mom. ๐ I follow on FB!
My oldest, 23mos, has started stringing two and three words together. Hooray for better communication skills! Trying to decipher his intentions through one word and a (sometimes) made-up sign was getting more difficult every day.
My second baby, 8wks, just started truly responding to our facial expressions and voices. Not just smiles, but mimicking our faces, little baby coos and borderline laughs, even looking like the world was about to end when daddy gave him an angry face.
And… Pinned!

My daughter has recently transitioned into a “big girl” twin bed!
My son, who is nine months, finally started to crawl! I guess it’s more a “dragging his body across the floor” type move, but I think that counts.

My three month old daughter rolled from her stomach to her back last week. (only out of anger because she hates tummy time).
Great contest! My daughter Cadence is turning 1 year on Thursday Oct 24. She just had a pile of milestones hit her all at once – she’s growing molars, was sick from daycare for three weeks straight, and decided “Hey, I could really go for being a biped.” So she now runs and falls and licks dog kibble and smashes her hands in drawers and flaps her hands at the wrist when she’s impatient and eats everything in sight. I pretty much keep Babies R Us in business between diapers, emergency clothing and new toys so daddy and I can sit down for 10 minutes… and with my second daughter baking and due in March, the gift card will definitely be used quickly!
I kind of have two. My 4 year old son had just gotten done going the bathroom, and my 18 month looks at me and says “Ona poop” (her name is Fiona) so I put her on the potty and she did go a tiny bit and was so proud of herself she said all done and flung her hands and almost fell off the potty. And just last night as I put them to bed I said love you, and she yells “Mommy, Meum, lub you, lub you”. My sons name is Liam. The best part was Liam said back, “I love you too Fiona, sweet dreams”.
My 4 month old rolled back to belly on Monday the 14th…twice…at her well visit…neither was caught on camera…and she hasn’t done it since. Then Saturday the 19th she rolled belly to back three times in a row…none of which were caught on camera…and yes, she hasn’t done it since. Well at least not for us at home but she’s doing it at daycare.
My daughter just mastered independent sitting and started solid foods in the same week! It’s kind of nice to just be able to plop her down and not worry about her toppling over or crawling away. Loving this stage!
