Some parents like packing lunches. They see it as a way to send their kids off to school with a little extra love and comfort from home. Other parents find it to be an annoying task that reminds us of how simple life used to be before taking care of someone other than ourselves became a priority. They pack their lunches late at night, shortly after getting into bed, bolting upright and shouting at the ceiling, “Oh no! I forgot to pack Mazzy and Harlow’s lunch!”
Also, why are my kids eating protein-packed sandwiches and baggies of cut vegetables while I’m busy foraging the bottom of the snack drawer at lunch time???? Yesterday, I ate a handful of pistachios and a bag of chips for lunch. I really need to start packing myself a lunch.
Whatever kind of parent you might be, however strapped for time and sanity you are, sticking a note in your kid’s lunchbox is pretty easy thing to do, which makes a huge impression on your kids. It can be used to express love, motivate academically, encourage healthy eating, or remind your kid that she’s got soccer after school and that’s why you had to say “no” to the playdate so please stop blaming me, OKAY???

I’m the frustrated mom. My note would say ‘look darling i really love how you can eat a whole bell pepper as if it was an apple, a bowl full of tomatoes or half a cucumber A-T H-O-M-E but could you please eat anything healthy out of your lunchbox in kindergarten aswell instead of stealing the other kids’ gummi bears. I know you are not very hungry in the morning but I am so done with the hints of your teacher how I should get you used to eating veggies. Love, mom’
I’m a mix of the basic and positive mom. “Kindness matters. Have a great day! ❤️ mom.”
I’m basic mom for sure!
I’m #10 mom :). Basic but my love for my baby is beyond basic. ❤️
Omg these are amazing!!! I leave cute little drawings and notes on my little one’s banana.
In the morning, I take a toothpick and make drawings, write her name, or a little message on her banana. After a few minutes the message/drawing turns darker and leaves a cute and original (non-messy and environment friendly) message. She loves it and so does her teacher.
I’ve left notes to all 3 of my kiddos 🙂
My mom always left me little notes too. I loved them.
Good lord! #13 The exhausted mom is me to a ‘T’!! I have one kid of the three I can never remember NOT to put cheese on his breakfast, lunch or dinner. Ummmm, he’s lactose intolerant!!! Sorry bud is our standing conversation. #lowbarlifestyle
Im the environmentalist mom who sends their kids to school with a zero waste lunch (everything is reusable). So no note, because that waste paper. But we pack lunches together the night before so they can pick out their own special treat.
I would definitely be #2😂
Basic mom, or positive, and I like to add a joke!
your daughter is so cute. I also want to have a baby like her
