GIVEAWAY: $500 Mini Boden Gift Card
I was looking for something for the girls to wear to camp the other day and realized that everything in their dresser looks like it has been used to wipe down the floors. There are permanent dirt stains inside every crease and fold. All the pinks and blues and whites have dulled to variations of beige. I can’t even see the bright colors underneath all the dirt caked on to their sneakers.
This is one of the reasons I love back-to-school shopping. Summer clothes have been through the wringer and it’s time to make my kids look like clean well put together human beings again!
For the past two years, I’ve partnered with Mini Boden to show-off their back-to-school collection and I could not be happier that I am partnering with them again. With their bold colors, fun patterns and adorably quirky styles, Mini Boden is by far and away my favorite place to shop for my kids online. Not to mention, they’ve got some pretty great styles for adults too.
This year, instead of picking out the clothes myself, I let Mazzy and Harlow pick their own stuff. I’ve learned that I no longer know what they want and if I buy something I think looks cute, it might sit in their closet untouched all year.
Mazzy totally surprised me right off the bat by picking out a pair of overalls. I have a hard time getting her to wear pants so I never in a million years would have imagined she would want pants with a bib!
I also thought for sure that once she got them, they would be too big or not fit right and get relegated to the back of her closet, but they fit perfectly and she was thrilled. She actually asked me if she could wear them every day to school. We settled on once a week.
She selected a shirt with rainbow sleeves for underneath. I’m calling the whole look “Mazzy Brewster” and I’m pretty sure this will be her uniform all year.
One thing Mazzy has been really into lately is wearing her hair down. She’s got a lot of hair and it falls in her face, so I am constantly trying to convince her to put it up or least pin it back. During the shoot, I successfully pinned it back while she wasn’t paying attention.
Here’s her reaction once she noticed:
Suffice to say, I let her keep it down the rest of the shoot!
True to form, the first things Harlow gravitated towards was a flower felt necklace and a rainbow hedgehog purse with a gold strap.
Then I had to find a dress that brought her accessories together. Once she had it all on, she exclaimed, “I look like Mommy!!!”
I’m pretty sure she meant that in a good way.
Harlow also fell in love with a pair of multi-color sparkly Mary Janes. Judging by how much she wore her gold Mini Boden t-straps last year, I see many mornings when I will be arguing with her to keep these in the closet. “They are not good for the playground, Harlow!” “But I love them!!!”
Last year, Harlow decided that her gold shoes were her “shabbat shoes” which meant there was no way I could argue with her about wearing them on Fridays. I think we have found Harlow’s new “shabbat shoes.”
Keeping with the rainbow theme, Mazzy also picked out a gray sweater dress with velvet ruffles in multiple colors. She paired that with a pair of high suede brown boots which truly tells me that my little girl’s style is growing up.
Remember when she would wear nothing but pink?
Harlow selected a bold polka dot dress with a flower applique on the front. As soon as she put it on, she informed me that would be wearing it to her birthday party this year.
FYI, Harlow has been planning her birthday party since last winter. Originally, it was going to be a Frozen party but then she changed gears and decided on a butterfly theme. This dress is perfect for the party because “Butterflies love flowers.”
Next up, matching denim twirling skirts.
If you follow me on Snapchat, I’m sure you saw that this portion of shoot turned into a big dance party.
I should mention that the day of the shoot was ridiculously hot and I was asking the girls to wear fall clothing. At one point, Harlow decided that she was just DONE.
Here Mazzy and I are trying to hold up her head after Harlow did her signature “GO LIMP” move.
I let Harlow take a break while Mazzy tried on her last outfit.
This one was actually my favorite and Mazzy made it even cuter by pairing it with red rain boots, a floral umbrella and two different backpacks.
I mean, seriously. Mini Boden— can you PLEASE make this entire outfit in my size?

This post was sponsored by Mini Boden, but we would be buying and loving their clothing regardless!
I would love one of everything! My daughter thinks the rick-rack tulle skirt and butterfly sweater with glittery high tops would be “fabulous.” she is three?
Dying for the owl print anorak for my toddler!
Just one?! Ok I’ll compromise I have a boy and a girl. For a girl I love the cost sweatshirt dress in the gray with gold dots and for my son those pet pocket t’s are just too sweet. But really all their clothes are great and it’s one of the few stores that really holds up to kids playing hard in their clothes without loosing the colors or quality.
My 3yr old already chose the red t-shirt with an appliqué atv. I love letting him choose between my top choices (which is always so hard when they are all so adorable!)
I would love the Multi Woodland Toile dress for my daughter, it is too cute for words!
So many adorable things! I would definitely want the butterfly sweater for one of my daughters, the twirly dress for my other daughter, and the sheep dog sweater for my son. Along with basically every thing else Boden makes because it’s all lovely!!
All of it!! But that France’s coat is amazing, my daughter would LOVE!!
Oops Autocorrect– Frances coat:)
I think Mazzy and I have similar taste because that Stripy Dress (Rainbow Multi Stripe) is TTDF (totally to die for)!!
I love the frill dress and that cardigan with the hedgehog pockets is adorable!!
Jersey swing dress!
Such a great collection! My 4 year old would love the stripey sweatshirt dress. Totally hear you on the faded, stretched out summer clothes!
I love the stripy dress but my 6 yo ( going on 16) told me she likes the one with the poppy on it ( the retro jersey dress) because out dogs name is Poppy. ❤️❤️
We’re going thru the same thing as Izzy is going to 1st grade. Just when I thought I knew her style she changes it.
One thing is cuter than the next!! That said I love the bunny backpack and the yellow peacoat!! Too sweet 🙂
The girls’ suede sneakers…. LOVE THEM!
Love it all! My daughter would especially love that rainbow stripy dress or those skirts! Both my girls would love those skirts and I imagine the dance parties would look similar to the ones at you house! 🙂
Love the colorful Sherpa lined anorak for girls– goes w everything and says kid, yet not “kiddy”.
The pretty knitted dress in all sizes for my 3 girls! Xoxo
So many adorable clothes, so hard to choose. I am in love with all the outfits that your adorable girls tried on. However, if I had to pick one item for my very much like Harlow little girl Mara it would be the gold Maryjane shoes. Mara is obsessed with all things that sparkle and I could hear her telling me that they were her Shabbat shoes as well to try and wear them to school. Love the blog, love following you on fb, insta, and snapchat.
I love love love the stripy knitted dress. I think it would be perfect for my daughter ! I also love all the boys t-shirts for my son! Everything looks so amazing, soft and comfortable.

The rainbow dress would be our unform all fall!
Love the all weather jacket and Sherpa best for my boys. Sweetinsahmnity at gmail
Ric rac tulle skirt with the gold polka dots! Totally need to buy this for my 3.5 year old!
For my car and truck loving 2-year-old son, I’d have to get those vehicle t-shirts!
The rainbow stripey dress! Love it!
My daughter would love the short sleeve printed tunic with rainbows!!!
Hem dress is super cute.
I would love the Reversible Shaggy Zip-throughs for my 4 & 8 year old boys, it’s perfectly for fall in Rhode Island.
Has to be the Navy Woodland Decorative skirt with those little squirrels and those detachable cross straps….so Fall and so adorable for my little 3yr old who is always on the hunt for squirrels in the park!
I can so see her in that with some boots!!! ☺️
I love so many things. I love the fun jersey play set with the dog or the knit playset with the cow for my infant son.
I absolutely love the frill dress Mazzy is wearing and their matching denim skirts!!!
I LOVE the fox backpack – I might have to get the clutch for myself! 😉 Uh, I love Boden so very much.
Those rainbow outfits looked like they were made for Mazzy. I saw the portrait of her sitting at the table (beautiful!) along with the girls dancing on your Snap.
I love all of the girls’ outfit choices, especially Mazzy’s rainbow stripe dress! However, I’ll pick something different but equally cute as my choice which is the ‘Down in the Meadow dress’ in the Eton Blue Bunny Meadow color option.
I was dying when Harlow was so over taking pictures! Plus, Mazzy’s pout when you put up her hair ?.
Ooooh I love everything they have! My almost 8 year old son wants to be an artist when he grows up, so he’d love the Ombré Breton shirt the best. My almost 2 year old is obsessed with purses, so I’m sure she’d be over the moon with the little hedgehog purse that Harlow chose! I really love how colorful, but still tasteful everything is!
Living in the northeast, the boots and all-weather jacket are a must for my boys! Their pajamas are also the best! My boys love their sweatpants, as well. I’ve loved everything I’ve ever purchased from Boden and mini-Boden!
I fell in love with those rain boots from Snapchat and already bought them! The next must-have are the Shabbat shoes!!!!
Mini Boden is a favorite in our house. For my son, I love the pants with reinforced knees and he’s loving the space themed Sherpa lined Anorak. My 4 year old daughter wants training bras (insert eye roll here) but has also consented to liking the glitter high tops and that denim twirl skirt. My youngest is not yet 2 so I still get to pick her outfits (!!!) and she would wear it all!
I love the jaspe slub polo for boys. It’s adorable! Looking at the catalog of clothes it makes me realize my kids need something other than shorts and stained tee shirts to wear.
I love every one of the dresses for the baby girls!!!! I also love there are no cartoon characters on the boys shirts!
I love the retro jersey dress! My little would love some Mini Boden in her life!
How do you pick just one?! I’m obsessed with the decorative skirts.

That rainbow hedgie purse! ?
LOVE LOVE LOVE Mini Boden!! For my 2 year old boy, I would love for him to have the Sheep Cardigan! Super sweet and would match all of his clothes, so we could just keep it in the diaper bag for anytime use!
The jersey swing dress please! dresses are the best: good for summer and then fall/winter when you add a sweater and leggings. All of it is so cute!
My daughter would LOVE the last outfit Mazzy had on! She would also love the tulle dress 🙂
Whirlpool Squirrel dress! My daughter would probably never take it off!
My daughter is in love with the stripey knitted dress and the stripey dress (she’s really into steps these days).
I have two girls who are around the same age as your girls. I love the twirling skirts and jersey dresses! Would be great for school!
I am a sucker for overalls and for comfort. The jersey overall set would be perfect for my almost 2 year old. I wouldn’t have to worry that she can’t bend her knees when climbing on the playground.
The stripey dress!!
I love the rompers and jumpsuits! Plus all of the printed pants are adorable as well! My 7 year old sometimes refuses to wear dresses unless it’s time
For church so the rompers and jumpsuits satisfy mommys cuteness factor and Brianna’s comfort factor, a win win especially in the mornings when both mommy and bri would rather be snoozing than getting ready for school 🙂
The duffle in honeycomb! Love it!
Ah! So many wonderful choices. This has been the “summer of dresses” for my almost 4year old girl so we fell in love with: stripy knitted dress, retro jersey dress, logo Jersey dress, fun Breton Jersey dress, etc! It also wouldn’t be successful shopping without a cat shirt, so the ‘chase your tail tshirt’ too!
You could honestly go eenie-meenie-minie-mo and anything would look cute on all our mini’s, but my favorite is anything with a hint of rainbow – like the shirt Mazzy is wearing above – to represent our daughter’s unique family with 2 mommas!
Love it all, but especially the Rainbow Multi-Stripe Stripey Dress.
The jersey overalls would be adorable on my daughter!
Any of their overalls! My 3 yo Lily will be welcoming (at least I hope she’ll be “welcoming”) a baby brother this fall, so I’m on the lookout for extra-special big sister things for her. This whole line is right up her alley!
The woodland skirt in navy is AMAZING. I think my daughter would feel like a little princess in it!
The down in meadow dress! All the heart eyes!

My daughter Sadie wants the Duffle coat to keep her warm during our really long Vermont winters!
Everyday Shorts (Formica Pink Cord) so cute! adorable line for my toddler!
Swooning over the girls rain jacket! Since we’re headed back to the states from Indonesia in the spring, I think my 2 year old will need it!
My 1 year old son needs the backhoe tshirt–it’s one of his handful of words! He loves all things with wheels and motors!
My little dude is 7 and in the 1st grade. Thankfully he still lets me choose the majority of what he wears. That said the long sleeve shirt with the snake across the shoulder, striking is awesome! He would love it.
Harvester boys sweater!
My 6-year-old daughter would go nuts for the rainbow Appliqué Leggings!
I love the jean jacket with polka dots!
I would love the Tulle dress. Huge Mini Boden fan!
Oh my word. I didn’t know they had boy clothes (because I only know them through your posts!) I love the easy peasy shirt, but my youngest boy would also be over the top adorable in the pocket pet shirt!! So cute!
The butterfly logo toddler girl dress is just simply adorable and fits my little outdoor lover’s personality.
I would love some Super soft baby sleep suits for my foster baby or for my 2 grand babies. I could put all 3 boys in the same thing. They would look so cute!
LOVE the stripey dress in foxglove!
I LOVE THE TALL LEATHER BOOTS FOR MY TODDLER!!
Every year I want to buy the tartan pants for my little guy!! They look so comfy and cute!!
the Stripey Rainbow dress and the Rainbow applique leggings. Darling!
I’m obsessed with the slouch sweatpants, because my boys are tall and thin so they need tie up pants.
So much cute stuff! I am obsessed with the Fairisle cardigan and need that in my size. My daughter would love the sparkly tulle skirt too.
Frill knitted dress. So happy my girl just got into the 2T sizes. So much to choose from its hard to pick!!
I’m with Mazzy…the rainbow stripy dress is my choice.
Boys pants, pants & more pants!!! There are colorful pants, comfy pants, parachute pants, sweat pants & jeans, jeans, jeans for my 2 younger boys!!! What amazing options they offer for boys!! I don’t see that very often so thanks for introducing me to them?
I would pick the fifties summer dress because, well, rainbows are everything to my 4 year old right now.
I love the little nightie. My almost 3 year old wants the “rella” – umbrella. My 4 year old wants all of it.
LOVE the Rainbow Printed Wellies!
My two year old son would flip over the peekaboo pocket ragland! Honestly, I was thrilled to find a yellow rain slicker on there. He needs a good rain jacket for school and ones without characters on them are impossible to find!
