I am an official brand ambassador for Mini Babybel® in 2016. While I receive compensation for participation as a brand advocate, opinions are my own.
I’ve always been very upfront about the fact that I am not a parenting expert. That might even be the first line of my upcoming book (on shelves in Fall 2016!!!). So, in partnership with Mini Babybel, I put together a panel that could help advise me on some of my most recent parenting questions.
I thought long and hard about who should be on such a panel and eventually I landed on a few people I know quite well— Mazzy and her friends. That’s right six-year-olds. After all, who knows more about kids than kids?
We filmed three videos, each addressing a different parenting topic. I gleaned all the info I could, and believe me— there was real information espoused!
Here’s what a bunch of six-year-old’s had to say about doling out chores.
I don’t know about you, but I actually learned something!
Just like Mazzy and her friends had big ideas for such little people, Mini Babybel packs a big taste in a small package.
Mini Babybel is a 100% natural cheese which comes in seven different flavors— from classic Original to smooth Mozzarella style. Its rich, creamy taste coupled with its signature red-wax-packaging has made it a favorite choice for both Mazzy and Harlow (and me!), who love unwrapping them just as much as they love eating them.
I also love Mini Babybel because it’s an easy on-the-go snack that’s packs more nutrition than our standard snack of a bag of pretzels or goldfish. Each serving delivers at least 4 grams of protein and 15% of your daily calcium needs – all for 70 calories or less. That and it fits easily into any lunchbox.
Today, in honor of our new series, I’m giving away a $150 Amex gift card and a year’s supply of Mini Babybel cheese!
To enter, you must subscribe to the Mommy Shorts YouTube Channel. Then like the video and leave a comment underneath the video on YouTube. Yes, on YouTube. I know, craziness.
One winner will be picked at random and announced on 2/12, when I will debut the second video in the series and another giveaway.
Good luck!
Okay – I still haven’t figured out youtube (I know I know), but man I love baby bell!!! My aunt likes to tell the story of when I was a little munchkin and taking me into the grocery store meant me screeching at the top of my lungs “CHHHHEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSEEEEE!” Every.Single.Trip.
This was really cute! $1,000 allowance, not bad.
Lol, now you owe them $5 each. If Gavin got his way, $1000. Not bad Suri for raising your child right. He sure knows how to negotiate. ☺️
Again you had me laughing out loud! Groceries???????? and the kids deciding that you owed them money was priceless! My daughter is obsessed with that cheese because they air commercials for it during her shows!!! Not sure how you can put baby bel in the swag bag, but….????
Mazzy’s face when she realises she is in the middle of a legit money-spinner…. “we’re helping you with your work right now!” – with those smarts and that face she could take over the world and we’d all just smile along.
So cute! Unfortunately, I couldn’t get it to work to leave a comment on YouTube :/ I especially love how Maddy called you out at the end!
1. I’m quitting my job and going to become one of Little Miss Party’s helpers ($1,000 per chore is good pay)
2. Gavin’s face with the crumbs – I can’t even
3. Mazzy knows her stuff – “we are helping you with your work” and Gavin knows that you “owe” them. LOL!
4. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO!!
Thanks Ilana.
I’m downloading some chore charts right now to make easier to my son to understand what’s expected to do and what’s a chore. I even think I will reward him with money ($2 Australian dollars each sounds plausible to me ????) as I think it will be a good opportunity to teach him the value of money and the experience of expending it.
The video was truly hilarious and you should make it a weekly one…for our entertainment and you know, learning curve with the real experts.
Big hug…
Lu.
