Before I talk about the latest episode of The Mommy Show, I have to say one thing. Tony Hale is absolutely adorable and I might have a wee bit of a crush on him.
Yes, I know, you might be surprised that the actor known as Buster from Arrested Development and Gary Walsh from Veep, both awkward asexual man children by most accounts, is actually incredibly charming, distractingly handsome and kind of glows in person.
Trust me. You would be smitten too.
You would also find it adorable that he brought his lovely wife to my apartment as his entourage. She complimented me on my home decor.
I think I love them both.
What else did Tony Hale do on The Mommy Show besides make me act like a thirteen-year-old girl who had just met a member of One Direction?
He talked about napping, made pirate hook hands out of tin foil and organized my diaper bag. Isn’t that what everybody would do with Tony Hale if he came over?
Tony was there to talk about his upcoming children’s book “Archibald’s Next Big Thing“. The “Next Big Thing” being that Tony Hale is going to come out with a children’s book. (HA!) Its release is scheduled for August.
I can’t say if the book is good or not because all he revealed was the cover, but I do like Archibald. He’s a chicken. Obviously.
Three more things you should know about this episode:
1) Someone should probably report me to child protective services for handing my four-year-old a pair of scissors and telling her to puncture a plastic cup.
2) Tony Hale went directly from my place to Letterman. (How cool is that?)
3) When we were finished filming, Tony told me what a great service mom bloggers are doing for the parenting community.
SERIOUSLY???
Smitten.
Check out the episode below…
Haha! Super cute episode! I’m totally smitten. I love how, during the craft, HE was the one that was asking Mazzy if she needed help!! That has happened to me so many times…when I get nervous…I kinda forget about my kid!! LOL! CPS on us!!
Tony Hale is an incredibly gifted actor for being able to conceal his adorableness while in character. This was my favorite episode yet!
You’re both adorable.
I loved this episode! Tony Hale is so great on Veep (one of my favorite shows), and was so hilarious as Buster too! I had no idea he had a book, can’t wait to check it out.
This was such a great episode!
His voice calms me and his smile makes me happy.
When can we come over for a playdate with him and his daughter? I promise to remember to bring my kids…
Proof he’s an amazing actor – I had no idea how charming and adorable he was. Love him on Veep. Love him more on your show!
I want to hang out with Tony Hale! So cool.
Buster!!!! He’s such a cool dude in person 🙂
Well, his diaper bag packing skills need some work. ALl the top priority items- like snacks- went in first…but now they’ll be at the bottom of the bag! You should have timed him rummaging around in the bag to get out the snacks when/if Mazzy or Harlow were in meltdown mode out in public screaming for their snack…
He is fab and I looooved him in Arrested Development.
Loose Seal! Loose Seal!
LOVE him! You’re so lucky!!!
You had BUSTER in your living room?! “Oh mother.” Amazing.
