Valentine’s Day is a pretty minor holiday as far as holidays go, but since we are mostly stuck at home, in the middle of a global pandemic, any excuse to elevate the mundane is a welcome distraction. Plus, Harlow asked me if we could make a “big deal” out of Valentine’s Day this year. How could I say no?
Although Valentine’s Day gifts for your significant other have always been somewhat cheesy, Valentine’s Day gifts for kids are lots of fun. I love that there are low expectations and I can just put together something small and fun. The girls are always surprised and excited, no matter what it is. I usually get something homemade from them, which I love as well.
Of course, homemade on Valentine’s Day never fails, but if you are thinking about making a bit more of a to-do on Valentine’s Day this year (aka Harlow style), I put together a list of Valentine’s Day gift items to give us all some ideas. I made sure to include a bunch of ideas that were very successful holiday gifts for us this year as well. Maybe you thought it was too late to get your kid a mini doughnut maker. Now is your chance! And I think I might have even stumbled upon some small, but not cheesy, Valentine’s Day gifts for the adults too.
