My apartment might not be finished yet, but we’ve got new floors, new carpets, a new kitchen and some new furniture and I’m very interested in keeping them clean. Especially the couch and the banquette cushion around the dining room table. That cushion is a CRUMB MAGNET. Thankfully, BLACK+DECKER sent me their new AdvancedClean+ dustbuster to keep my place in check. Their newest cordless hand vacuum has a long extendable crevice tool that makes cleaning difficult places much easier. I can clean the banquette without bending down!
I don’t think my kids have ever seen me so obsessed with cleanliness. Check out the video below to see me in action. There is no crumb that my kids drop that doesn’t immediately get sucked up!

Where to start? With 3 kids, a dog, and a husband I think the husband beats them all! Everywhere he goes or stands there is something I have to pick up w the vacuum! Chips, dirt from boots, cookies, bread crumbs, I have no clue how he manages to make this mess. Let’s not forget the kids with EVERYTHING and the dog hair…OMG!
Under my couch is always a disaster now matter how many times I sweep it. My kids, husband and their snacks are hard at work!
Biggest crumb magnet is anything around my 8 year old who thinks crackers taste better when broken into tiny pieces!
Between the couch cushions and under the kitchen cabinets!
Most definitely the kitchen floor! And if I can venture out of the house for this I’d say my car!!!! I succumb to the begging for snacks during car rides and it is a real sh*t show 😂. I’d LOVE one of these!!
My 3.5 year old daughter!! And my dog. We would love this- about to have our second in July! Love your blog/posts!! Crumbs mean happy house full of babies
Aside from my child being a giant walking crumb. I would say our couch. It’s a ripple texture and crumbs hide everywhere!
The cream colored rug! Ewww
The couch is the biggest crumb magnet I’ve got. I feel like when I lift those cushions, I could feed another family with all that crumbs I find.
Front door always, but some how under the couch is always totally crazy too.
The area of rug in between our couch and the coffee table! Our 2.5 year old loves her snacks and drops nearly everything in that spot.. then the crumbs get kicked under the couch and/or coffee table! 😑
Under my toddler’s high chair. I wonder why 🤦🏻♀️
I’m torn; my husband and my little one are the crumb magnets in my house. They always have crumbs on them. My non-human crumb magnet is definitely the coffee table because that’s where we eat all of our meals.
My biggest crumb magnet is the 2 ft radius around my toddler’s dining room chair. The floor, the chair itself, even the baseboard heaters get crumbs in them 🤦♀️
The high chair 🤦🏼♀️.
The biggest crumb magnet at our house is the minivan! With 3 kids, we’re always snacking on to go.
The couch, the carpet, the car, the baby. Crumbs everywhere!
My 19 month old! She is the snack queen and leaves a trail of crumbs everywhere. I literally keep a shop vac in my dining room for after meals too. I have a short haired dog who sheds and unbelievable amount of fur, I don’t know how he isn’t bald 😂 one of my biggest pet peeves is stepping on crumbs so I wear socks constantly!
The baseboards. I’m not sure if I love or hate the time I spend vacuuming dog hair from the floor right around the baseboards. It is actually kind of cathartic.
My 5 & 3 yo feet! The crumbs drop. They step in it and viola… you have a beautiful field of colorful crumbs all over the hardwood floors. Which then in turn gets transferred to the carpet, the bed… etc.
My couch and car seat! It’s like they produce crumbs themselves!😋
My couchhhhh. Oh man I dread pulling out the cushions to sweep. ALSO, my kitchen chair cushions… WOW every crumb possible falls in the little button holes. I would love to take that vacuum from the house to the car to get in the carseat crevices!
The biggest crumb magnet in our house is the foam play mat we have for the baby. I swear I don’t even know how it attracts so much of crumbs.
The cracks in our kitchen tile grout! Perfect crumb catchers!
Under babies high chair, ha ha ha! We’ll under all my kids chairs at the table actually! 😂
Oh man I can sure use this, babysitting my 2 year old twin nieces and nephew 3 days a week crumbs are EVERYWHERE!! Pick me pick me to win!!!
My 2 year old son is my biggest crumb magnet! I could track him down anywhere in the house by following his crumbs! Not to mention that he has recently started saving food that he really likes… packed into his cheeks. Half of the time I don’t even realize he’s storing it until I start seeing it drip out of his mouth!
I have two boys. Enough said! Lol! One is even named Wes, which enters with MESS. Cleaning up after then is a full time job. I love then to bits and pieces though. While I can’t vacuum up those bits and pieces of love, I do vacuum the bits and pieces of crumbs and dirt they leave behind.
The biggest crumb magnet is definitely the couch. Crumbs and dog hair what a messy combination! I clean it and then look over the next day it’s as if the crumbs had never been cleaned at all.
My 11-month Old is the messiest! I’m convinced she purposefully leaves half of her meals on the floor or in her chair so she can come back and find them later.
The couch! On the couch, in the couch, under the couch, around the couch. We don’t have a dust buster so we literally keep the upright vacuum next to the couch but I’d rather put the vacuum away and have a small, powerful dustbuster that I can use quickly to pick up the crumbs. It would very much alleviate the uncontrollable twitching when I see my kids with crackers in their hands! Thank you!
Under the kitchen table! I used to think having a dog would keep the crumbs away, but in his middle age, his pallet is so refined, he won’t even eat Cheerios anymore. What good are you, dog?!?
My husband might be the worlds messiest eater. After throwing out too many ruined T-shirt’s and constantly wiping up after him with wet paper towels(because it’s just ok often to get my big vacuum out), I wish he had a more useful super power…
My couch, or around the high chair.
The crumb magnet in my house is the ONE corner of the couch where my child enjoys thier nightly snack of popcorn and cheez-its !
It’s gotta be the space underneath the rollaway of our “Megacouch”. We have a convertible couch that we keep extended most of the time so we can all pile on and enjoy snuggle movie tims.. Our little one uses it as a place to build a pillow fort and it’s a general play area. But things tend to roll away to the black hole that is under the couch to keep the dust bunnies and hair tumbleweeds company. When we have no choice but to extract a toy that crossed over, we mentally brace ourselves for the murder scene of detritus down there. (Shiver.)
Under my kitchen table! I must get out my vacuum 3+ a day to clean crumbs! I would love to have a simple handheld to make life easier!
Sounds like you also need a dog. Hands down, best, most effective all-in-one vacuum/mop I’ve ever adopted.
Biggest crumb/pet hair magnet is my wardrobe! And my couch. And my floor. My life, really. All of it.
The kids art table/dining table 🤦♀️ Glitter, playdough, paper scraps, food crumbs, everyday it is something new! This would be amazing to have!
My biggest crumb magnet is either the seats of my car or the grooves in my poorly designed table, lol.
Under the cabinets! Drives me crazy! With three kids dropping crumbs on the daily i can never have a crumb free kitchen floor!
Biggest crumb magnet is definitely under the kitchen island counter where the kids sit to eat. Did you even get any sleep n your mouth!?!
My baby is always covered in dog hairs! Not to mention the many crumbs that constantly live under his high chair!
The biggest crumb magnet in my home is my 6 year old. She seems to be incapable of sitting still to eat, eating at the table, or using a plate. Instead this little munchkin prefers to wander the house with her meals in hand, much to my chagrin and the dog’s delight. I’d love some help managing this chaos that just adds to her three sibling’s. We have a full, active house that is always in need of new solutions to manage the insanity. It looks like Black & Decker created one!
I have multiple crumb magnets :). The biggest seem to be the spot right in front of their booster seats on the dining chairs and all over the place in our vehicles! I’ve been on the hunt for a good vac to help clean out the cars and to use after meals 🙂
Pizza Lunchables are the worst with play sand coming in a close second!!
The couch! There are probably enough Cheerios between the cushions to refill the box. 🤦♀️
The biggest crumb magnet in my home is underneath my kids chairs in the kitchen!
My biggest crumb magnet is my husbands belly. I’m not kidding – I can always tell what he has been snacking on by looking at his T-shirt. I absolutely adore him but I wish I knew about this little belly magnet 18 years ago. 😉
The couch collects ALL the crumbs!! It doesn’t help that we all eat on the couch instead of in the kitchen 🤷♀️. I hope it gets better once the kids are older!
My kitchen! Specially under my toddlers high chair and learning tower!
Cereal every single morning! How do they spill do much on the floor? And then you step on it in your bleary-eyed state and make it a million times worse!
My 20 month old leaves a path of crumbs in his wake wherever he goes!
My biggest crumb catcher is the sectional couch and rug around the sectional couch. Partly because we often eat in the living room instead of the kitchen. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Since our dog died about a year ago, I realized just how much of a mess my kids are. Now that our littlest is crawling around and picking up every crumb and trying to eat it, this would really come in handy! 3 kids, I feel like I never have a clean house!
The biggest crumb magnet is wherever the kids are! Under their chairs, on the couch, or just the path they took from kitchen to wherever! We need a dustbuster or a pack of dogs!
Under my two year old’s chair at the dinner table. Impossible to keep clean!
The carpet under the kitchen table 🤦🏻♀️
Would use to clean All the things! The floors near the baseboards seem to collect the most dust, dog hair and other crumbs. Thanks for a chance to make cleaning a breeze.
Biggest crumb magnet?! The floor under our dining room table.. for sure!! Just watching guests swipe crumbs off the table.. ummmm
Biggest crumb magnet is definitely my bed. Having a chronic illness, I spend a lot of time there. Between my grown kids and pup wanting to come cuddle with mom to make sure I’m ok…while stuffing their faces, my bed has become a magnet for chips ahoy/oreos, toast crumbs, popcorn, and Trader Joe’s dog treats.
I wouldn’t have it any other way. May my grown kids always want to continue spending time with me during tough health crisis and my pup always want to lovingly cuddle worth me and do amazing tricks and good behaviors in exchange for treats. ❤
My biggest crumb magnet is my kitchen floor, which turns into my living room floor since they are connected. With a 3 and a 4 year old plus a Great Dane and a golden retriever, I’m lucky to have time for anything else 😂😂
Our youngest loves to eat cookies on the couch and then once it gets to the last bite always like to crush it in his hands. It’s an ordeal…every time! I’ve sorta given up at this point.
Under the highchair!
Definitely my sofa- we moved it once and there was an outline of the entire sofa underneath. I’d love this vacuum!
The floor at the kitchen bar… every crumb in our house meets up there. Toast is the worst. I start sweeping there, then work my way around the kitchen, but consistently, the messiest spot is the at the bar.
Oh wow, so many places, so hard to choose. I’d say the biggest crumb magnet in our house is under the kitchen cabinets. I feel like as soon as they’ve been cleaned, I immediately notice a piece of popcorn, dog fur, cereal, SOMETHING there. Ugh.
my feet collect all the crumbs HAHA but the crumb factory is from the kidssssssssssssssssss
The couch for sure! And does my car count? That’s even worse.
The biggest crumb magnet in our home would have to be the dog. He is a messy eater!
Our couch (which is old and I desperately want to get rid of) is the biggest crumb collector (thanks to my kids). We live in a small apartment and the couch gets a lot of use. My kids eat way too may snacks there and it shows! Unfortunately, this just gives my husband further excuses not to get a new couch. Maybe the Black & Decker would help me out with this mission?? haha
our sofa
My kids are 4 and 7 and somehow still cannot grasp the concept of leaning over when they eat, so our kitchen floor is CONSTANTLY crumb-covered.
My first thought was the obvious, my couch… with a 6.5 year old boy and a 1 year old sister as his side kick we get some pretty messy crumb explosions on the couch… picture this… somehow the 1 year old got a hold of a loaf of bread… that was a week ago and I’m still finding crumbs from it! But even worse than that… the dreaded backseat of my car… I get the kids out of the backseat as quickly as I can to avoid seeing all the crumbs!
You would think the biggest crumb magnet would be my nine year old daughter, but crumbs seem to follow my husband all throughout his day. And the dog is prett messy too!
I have 5 crumb magnets (grand kids) that are here daily!!!!!!!!!!
My biggest crumb magnet in the house is my 13 month old! I am constantly trying to clean our floors before the little one gets all to the particles. I never know what he is going to find.
ALL around my kitchen island. I don’t understand! Even parts where no one sits constantly have crumbs!!
The biggest crumb magnet is the area underneath and around my breakfast table (which is also our lunch and dinner table because the formal dining table is used for Lego projects). My 7 year old son nibbles everything he eats, even if it is already bite-sized food, and also likes to stand while eating. My younger son believes eating is a race and also hasn’t mastered chewing with his mouth closed.
The biggest crumb magnet is under the biggest one’s car booster seat, it’s just scary under there. But in the house it’d be that 2 foot radius just in the living room door. The dog and cat food are there, the kids drop all their stuff immediately upon entering, then the fuzzies dive in to whatever the kids brought home and spread it all out looking for treats. Disaster zone in 15 seconds flat…every single time…
Definitely the back seat of our car! I had to take out our carseat the other day for our sitter, and I was so embarrassed at the outline of sticky animal cracker, gummy, granola bar and hard boiled egg crumbs matted in the edges of her carseat. It was very gross. I swept them out by hand before going to the car wash because I didn’t even want them seeing how messy my kid is!
ME! More specifically my pants. I sit on the floor all the time with kiddo and apparently my pants are velcro because even if I think the house is clean something sticks to me and I don’t notice until we are in public…RAP all the way!
My kids’ booster seats and their car seats — they are walking crumb catchers, so, by extension, so are their seats!
The biggest crumb magnet is our car and car seats. Impossible to keep either clean because my kids won’t reach for the trash can. Trash just rolls around the floor when I make turns. Yikes! 😣
Our crumb magnet is the place on the couch where my husband sits. Omg, he not only attracts the crumbs from his snacks, but also kids who drop more crumbs while sitting on him, beside him, or standing and talking to him.
My bar stools are just gross. I don’t know if it’s because of the casual dining style when you sit at a counter or if they are just crumb magnets, but the worst part is that is where my guests always sit when they come over so I am constantly cleaning them out!
I swear our kitchen stool gather crumbs and drops them one at a time. My kids will eat, I’ll clean up, leave the room and come back, only to discover MORE crumbs!
Crumb magnet seems to be everywhere now that I have my twin boys and they just started eating! Most crumbs can be found under their highchairs and in their car seats! Yuck! Desperately in need of a nice little vacuum for our new life with baby boys!
With four boys and a hubby it’s hard to narrow it down, but probably the family room couch. I don’t even want to look under the cushions.
I have two boys and two dogs who leave crumbs and fur everywhere! This would be a lifesaver!
My bed for some reason. The kids aren’t allowed to eat in my room or in any bedroom but somehow… the mice-like children manage to fill my bed with crumbs every single day so when I lay down at night it’s like I’m on a beach!
My 1 year old wants “nacksss” (snacks) all day long while our 80lb Lab/Retriever mix is following her like a shadow all hours. The pair leaves a ridiculous amount of pet hair and goldfish crumbs in our couch and and on the window sill.
I am a stay at home mom to 4 daughters. I am literally after my girls vacuuming up their crumbs. This will come in hand since it has no cord it would be amazing to get one.
My kitchen floor is the biggest crumb magnet. With 3 kids, 2 cats, and 2 dogs it’s amazing how many crumbs I find. Maybe if I had this handy vacuum I could get my kids to clean up after themselves.
Ugh… biggest crumb magnet— the car seat! For some reason the only thing that calms little one down on long trips is Cheerios in her car seat!
The floor right in front of dishwasher and lower cabinets in our kitchen. I feel like my 5 year old daughter drops all of her crumbs right there.
Down the sides of the sofa and the middle erghhh you move the cushions and it’s like snack narnia down there!!
The biggest crumb magnet at my house would probably have to be the couches!
My biggest crumb magnet is definitely the corner of my couch where my daughter sits LOL.
Just one? With 4 kids, several pets, and a farm I am pretty sure every inch of my house is crummy at any given moment. But if I have to say what I think I’d love it most for is the furniture (in, on, and around)! Or maybe the window sills. Oh, or under the table. Maybe even the van!
