Two years ago, Mazzy and Harlow went as Joy and Disgust from Inside Out. They looked a little more like Disgust and Sadness, but it was a good sibling pairing nonetheless. Please post your photos to the Mommy Shorts Facebook page or hashtag them #mommyshortshalloween on Instagram!
So far they have agreed to theme’s every year since our son was born.
1) Wild Animals – Lion & Raccoon
2) Frozen – Olaf & Elsa
3) Bags of Potato Chips – Original & Sour Cream/Onion
4) Batman & Batgirl
5) Mario – Yoshi & Princess Peach
My 4 year old daughter chose to be Tinkerbell so her 2 year old brother will be going as Peter Pan, mainly because he doesn’t know what Halloween is yet. Win for me!
I love that most of these were homemade costumes!!! Bonus of being themed! This year is the first with our 2nd child, so my 5 year old sajd he was going to be a zombie and his brother is a peashooter. (from plants vs zombies).

The girls in the Madeline books aren’t orphans. They’re students at a boarding school and Miss Clavel is their teacher. (Also, she isn’t a nun though her clothes are similar to a sister’s habit.) The girls all go home to visit their parents in the Christmas book (Madeline even has siblings!) and Madeline’s father in mentioned when her appendix is removed.
