Like the rest of the online world, I’ve been putting an increasing amount of focus on my video content. It’s a lot more work than writing a post but more rewarding too, especially since Mazzy and Harlow really look forward to making and watching the videos.

But does anyone else watch them? Over the past few months, it seems like slowly but surely, some of you are taking the leap over to YouTube to watch my videos, accepting the longer run times (it’s a good thing, not a bad thing!) and realizing that these videos are more or less an extension of the same style you’ve gotten familiar with in my written posts. Commentary from me and then a video of the kids to back it up, just like I do with writing and photos.

One of the things I’ve noticed is that a lot of channels over on YouTube have a “channel trailer,” that plays when newcomers visit their YouTube channel, summing up everything about all their videos in a few short minutes. So, Allie helped me put together a little highlight reel of who I am and what any newcomers to my channel should expect.

I’ve watched the trailer about 500 times since we finished late Friday night and I really really love it. What do you think? Does it say everything it needs to?

I post new videos on YouTube every Friday, whether they go on the blog or not. If you want to be the first to see my videos and make sure you don’t miss anything, please SUBSCRIBE!

Also, I’ve heard from quite a few people that their kids are huge fans of my channel. I am totally okay with you introducing my videos to the toddler and preschooler set too. I might not be educational but I’m a few steps better than a toy unboxing, right?
