Anybody can make a gingerbread house, but it takes a truly obsessive person with a lot of free time on their hands to make a gingerbread house modeled after the house in their favorite movie or TV show.
Or, it takes Martha Stewart, who constructed the replica of Downtown Abby above.
Is Martha the only crazy fan out there with access to a piping bag and an oven? I decided to google random houses in pop culture to see what else would come up. Turns out you can find just about anything.
Gru’s House From Despicable Me:
The House from UP:
Bag End from Lord Of the Rings
Tardis from Doctor Who:
The burrow from Harry Potter:
The House from the Adam’s Family:
AT-AT from Star Wars:
The Millennium Falcon from Star wars:
The Dark Knight:
Nightmare Before Christmas:
The Van from Breaking Bad:
The Walking Dead:
The Castle from Frozen (although true fans know this doesn’t represent either Arendelle or Elsa’s castle):
A House Wrecked by the Abominable Snowman in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer:
A home Wrecked by Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball:
There were only a few gingerbread houses I was surprised I couldn’t find. No Brady Bunch House, no Bates Motel, no Golden Girls split level ranch.
Someone get on those for next year, ‘mmmkay?
