I wasn't sure what to expect from a video called "The Ice Cream Van", especially when the still frame is two boys eating beans on toast in their kitchen.
But at :26 seconds, what did I have to lose?
Turns out I had everything to gain! This little bit of heartbreaking brilliance was filmed accidentally by the mother of two boys, because you just can't create this kind of real life drama on purpose.
Do yourself a favor and watch it more than once. I laughed even harder the second time…

watched 3 times and laughed 3 times. great timing with the camera. The mom’s laughing makes me laugh even more.
Did that kid hurt his ankle?! Why is everyone finding it funny and I’m just really worried he might have seriously hurt himself. Am I missing a funny bone?
If the mom is laughing, I am sure there were no major injuries. Kids fall because they don’t pay attention, usually to an amusing degree. I watched twice and SO. Funny. I fall all the time, and I laugh at myself. I try and teach my kids to shake it off, laugh it off and get back up.
Omg. I’m laughing and shaking so hard I woke up the sleeping/nursing toddler in my lap.
