I’m really excited to announce the contents of my Mother’s Day Swag Bag! It has only seven items but that’s because I wanted every item to be AWESOME. They are all BIG TICKET items and only stuff that grown-ups would get excited about. No toys, no blankies, no diapers. Absolutely nothing for your kids. JUST YOU.
As always, you must subscribe to my daily or weekly newsletter to enter. Instructions will be appear in this Sunday’s email and the winner will be revealed the following Sunday.
Want to see what’s inside? Of course you do…
1. MZ Wallace Large Sutton in Magnet ($245)
First we’ll talk about the bag itself, which once again is MZ Wallace. Why? Because I LOVE THEM. And— I am hosting a Mom’s Night Out event this Friday night at their SOHO shop (93 Crosby St.) from 5pm-8pm. There will be bubbly, bites, shopping, free manicures, and a Remarkably Average book signing by YOURS TRULY.
The Large Sutton fits a ton of stuff with inner pockets, a detachable insert bag and a detachable cross body strap.
2. Helen Ficalora necklace – 18″ Fine 14k Gold Chain ($125) and one Alphabet Charm ($165)
Secondly, we’ve got a 14K gold necklace from Helen Ficalora which is the necklace I’ve been wearing every day for the past seven years. It was my push present from Mike when I was pregnant with Mazzy. He bought me the “H” when Harlow was born. I get countless compliments on it. It’s special but small enough for every day wear. I think it’s perfect.
4. iRobot Roomba 980 ($799.99)
Third, we’ve got a Roomba from iRobot. The Roomba is a robot vacuum that can clean floors, carpets, corners, under your couch and then get itself back to its home base to recharge all by itself. It’s also my family’s new pet. We named him Kevin. And that was before my whole feud with Kevin from the coffee shop. (People who follow me on Snapchat will know what I am talking about.) My sister and her husband have one that they named Norbert. Apparently, naming your Roomba is A THING.
5. Braava Jet 240 ($169.99)
If the Roomba isn’t enough for your robot cleaning needs, how about a iRobot mop too???
6. $100 Teleflora Gift Card ($100 plus free delivery)
I’m also giving away a $100 gift card from Teleflora to service all your Mother’s Day flower needs. Feel free to use the gift card on yourself too. You can just say they were a Mother’s Day gift to you from Mommy Shorts!
7. The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting + The Remarkably Average Mug
And lastly, of course, I’ve got a the ultimate Mother’s Day gift which is the remarkably average book + remarkably average mug combo. FYI, The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting currently has 5 stars on Amazon and over 100 overwhelmingly positive reviews so please don’t just take my word for it— trust the Amazon consumers! It’s also only $10 for the hardcover. If you have no time to read a book, the audible is now available as well. I can read it right to you! In mugs news, I ordered a bunch more so they are still available for purchase.
If you’d like to see me talk about all these items, plus answer a few Q&A questions to switch things up, here’s the video below.
To enter to win the swag bag, you must be a Mommy Shorts subscriber. If you are not already, you can sign up for my daily or weekly newsletter here.
Instructions to enter can only be found in this Sunday night’s newsletter! I mention it nowhere else so my dedicated readers have the best shot possible. Winner will be announced the following Sunday.

I would love a roomba (the whole swag bag looks amazing!!), but if I got one it would probably eat tons of Legos, since my boys seem to scatter them all around the house, so we’d have to name it ‘Emmett’ or ‘wild style’ after a character in the Lego movie. 🤣
I would love to buy some flowers for my mom, and we would name our roomba george!
I’d buy them for some sweet friends. And I’d name my roomba Fred!

We are getting ready to move again (military life) and its hard on the 8 year old to be switching a school again because she absolutely LOVED her teachers at our current school!!! And we would name our roomba Optimus Prime- 3year olds suggestion!! Because he said maybe it could transform into a robot!! I would send flowers and chocolates to all of the mommy’s that are my village of mommy’s; my mother, mother in law, sister and sister in law. We’ve always wanted a roomba because we are die hard Parks and recreation fans so obviously we would name him dj roomba and we would let it carry our Bluetooth speaker around blasting our favorite tunes as it cleaned.
Well of course I’d send the flowers to my mama, who lives several states away from me. And I literally told my husband just last week that we NEED a Roomba! My first thought for the name is Rhonda, although Mick also sounds good to me. Can’t wait for the newsletter!!
I send flowers to my mom and my mother in law. The are both amazing women that I look up to! I would name my roomba Simon!

She lives across the country, so I unfortunately can’t help, but flowers are ALWAYS a great gesture.

I would buy flowers for a few people that have been amazing help in my life. My list would of course have my mom who is like my rock when it comes to navigating this mother hood life, my sisters just so they know they are special and my daughter who is almost 6 because she would be so thrilled to get them. 🙂🌷🌻As for the Roomba I would probably name it Suki as that is my oldest sons current name obsession and if Suki is cleaning maybe he would clean as well. 😜
I would send flowers to myself, because I need some beauty in my house. And I would LOVE love a Roomba for my upstairs and downstairs. 3 kids under 6 in an 1100 sq ft house, gets messy quick!

I would buy flowers for my mom of course! And I would name my DJ Roomba, just like in Parks and Rec. Every time I hear anyone talk about a Roomba, that is all I can think about and it always makes me laugh.
I would send flowers to my mom and mother-in-law. They’re a couple of amazing ladies! I would name a Roomba CORN DIP! It’s a running family joke and yes it must be spelled with all caps and an exclamation point.
I would buy flowers for my stepmom or mil. My roomba would be named Frank – not sure why but it sounds like a good name for a roomba! 😍
We would name our Roomba Waldo. So that the kids are always asking “Where’s Waldo?” Or maybe Carmen San Diego. Because our home is rather large – “Where in the house is Carmen San Diego?!”
With the gift card I would send a huge bouquet to my future daughter-in-law’s momma. That sweet gal is throwing one heck of a wedding and could use some sweetness just for her. And I would send the Roomba to that best friend, she could use the break!!
I would send flowers to my sweet sister. She’s a brand new mom and this is her first Mother’s Day and she’s doing a kick ass job ! I’d name the Roomba Duke, since that’s a popular name in our house lately and my 18 month old son Kyle thinks that’s his name. Yes, he thinks his name is Duke, it’s so weird. Also- seriously- All we have to do to enter is subscribe? I’ve been a subscriber for years. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone !!
I’d send flowers to my sister and I’d name my roomba fred 😉
I would love to send flowers to my sister. She has had a really rough day with my nephew in the hospital for a complicated surgery. We’ve been preparing for months and today he pulled through fine but the whole waiting game has been super stressful. I’m just so proud of how well she handles everyday with her children. She’s an amazing mom and little sister.
Oh and I would love to name my dirt and dust eating vacumn something like…Donald…because it’s really good at sucking.

I would send my mom flowers as a housewarming gift for her new apartment. It will be the first time she’s ever lived by herself. We currently have a Roomba named King Bob, so we’d probably name a new one Big Boss or Stuart to keep the theme.
I’d buy myself a bouquet, my last bouquet was my wedding flowers! I’d name it Bon Bon. Cause I’d eat them while it does the work.
