I’m really excited to announce the contents of my Mother’s Day Swag Bag! It has only seven items but that’s because I wanted every item to be AWESOME. They are all BIG TICKET items and only stuff that grown-ups would get excited about. No toys, no blankies, no diapers. Absolutely nothing for your kids. JUST YOU.
As always, you must subscribe to my daily or weekly newsletter to enter. Instructions will be appear in this Sunday’s email and the winner will be revealed the following Sunday.
Want to see what’s inside? Of course you do…
1. MZ Wallace Large Sutton in Magnet ($245)
First we’ll talk about the bag itself, which once again is MZ Wallace. Why? Because I LOVE THEM. And— I am hosting a Mom’s Night Out event this Friday night at their SOHO shop (93 Crosby St.) from 5pm-8pm. There will be bubbly, bites, shopping, free manicures, and a Remarkably Average book signing by YOURS TRULY.
The Large Sutton fits a ton of stuff with inner pockets, a detachable insert bag and a detachable cross body strap.
2. Helen Ficalora necklace – 18″ Fine 14k Gold Chain ($125) and one Alphabet Charm ($165)
Secondly, we’ve got a 14K gold necklace from Helen Ficalora which is the necklace I’ve been wearing every day for the past seven years. It was my push present from Mike when I was pregnant with Mazzy. He bought me the “H” when Harlow was born. I get countless compliments on it. It’s special but small enough for every day wear. I think it’s perfect.
4. iRobot Roomba 980 ($799.99)
Third, we’ve got a Roomba from iRobot. The Roomba is a robot vacuum that can clean floors, carpets, corners, under your couch and then get itself back to its home base to recharge all by itself. It’s also my family’s new pet. We named him Kevin. And that was before my whole feud with Kevin from the coffee shop. (People who follow me on Snapchat will know what I am talking about.) My sister and her husband have one that they named Norbert. Apparently, naming your Roomba is A THING.
5. Braava Jet 240 ($169.99)
If the Roomba isn’t enough for your robot cleaning needs, how about a iRobot mop too???
6. $100 Teleflora Gift Card ($100 plus free delivery)
I’m also giving away a $100 gift card from Teleflora to service all your Mother’s Day flower needs. Feel free to use the gift card on yourself too. You can just say they were a Mother’s Day gift to you from Mommy Shorts!
7. The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting + The Remarkably Average Mug
And lastly, of course, I’ve got a the ultimate Mother’s Day gift which is the remarkably average book + remarkably average mug combo. FYI, The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting currently has 5 stars on Amazon and over 100 overwhelmingly positive reviews so please don’t just take my word for it— trust the Amazon consumers! It’s also only $10 for the hardcover. If you have no time to read a book, the audible is now available as well. I can read it right to you! In mugs news, I ordered a bunch more so they are still available for purchase.
If you’d like to see me talk about all these items, plus answer a few Q&A questions to switch things up, here’s the video below.
To enter to win the swag bag, you must be a Mommy Shorts subscriber. If you are not already, you can sign up for my daily or weekly newsletter here.
Instructions to enter can only be found in this Sunday night’s newsletter! I mention it nowhere else so my dedicated readers have the best shot possible. Winner will be announced the following Sunday.
Oh, and one more thing! I’m going to give away another $100 Teleflora gift card in the comments below! Just tell me who you would buy your flowers for and what you would name your Roomba.
Good luck!

I would send flowers to my mom because she doesn’t get them nearly enough, especially from delivery. I would have to name my roomba DJ Roomba because I absolutely LOVE parks and Rec and would giggle every time I saw that little thing go by.
mil and roomba will be hubby 🙂
I would send flowers to my mom. We are dealing with a lot with my dad’s cancer (he is undergoing plasma transplant in the upcoming weeks) and she has been his rock, his care giver, his companion, his cheerleadwr, etc. I think the flowers would be a small token of my appreciation for her, to show her how much we love her, and to show her that she is special. My sisters and I strive to be like her, she is amazing.
I would name the roomba Chompers since he will spend a lot of time eating up all the crumbs my son leaves behind.
Subscribed! Can’t wait to read more 🙂
I would send my grandma flowers! And I would name the Roomba “I”. As in “I” was vacuuming all day long. No one will be the wiser!
I’d buy them for middle school female students. This way they’d know how it feels to be treated as a lady.
Win the gift card I would send flowers to my mom and mother in law. I would name my Roomba, “DJ Roomba” and strap a Bluetooth speaker to it to play music as it moved around the house.
I’d send the flowers to my mom 🙂 not only has she been an amazing support in my life, she could use the pick me up as she goes through her second round of chemo. I would name the Roomba Tater Tot, bc I think that in an awesome pet name, but we have two cats so there are no new pets in our future!
I would buy flowers for my mom, she’s the best and she deserves the world! But flowers would be great too 😉
I would buy flowers for my mom. It’s cliche but since having my son I appreciate her more than ever – both for what she does for him and what she put up with me.
I would name my roomba rich after a person I wouldn’t mind have sweep my floor.
I’d save the flower gift card for next fall or early winter and order flowers to share with work, home, and my parents house – spread the cheer!
We currently have a knock-off brand auto vacuum named Bob, we’d let our little B name the new one. I’m betting he’d name it “New Bob”
I’d send myself a large bouquet at work with a huge sign that said “Congrats on the New Job” just to mess with everyone. I’d like a Roomba, but I have pets, so the poopening might happen again.
I’d buy flowers for my mom. I might name my Roomba jeeves since he’d be my helper
I would send my mom flowers. I would name my roomba Elmer, because we have two cute little bunnies and I can imagine it “chasing” them around the living room like Elmer Fudd.
I’d buy flowers for the moms in the children’s hospital. My mother passed from cancer and i can’t think of more deserving mothers for a random act of kindness than them. Id name it sir sucks alot….because im so fly😆
I’d send flowers to my mom and MIL and I’d name my roomba BetterYouThanMe!
I would buy flowers for my sister-in-law. She is always doing really sweet things for me, and I would love to give her a big bouquet on Mother’s Day. OH! And I would totally name my Roomba “Daddy Jr.” and make him clean up all our mess.
My Roomba’s name would be Henry since it sounds like a fantastic name for a butler which I do not have!! Hahaha!
If I had a gift card for $100 to spend on flowers, I would buy my husband’s grandmother and his great aunt (they are 86 yr old twins) flowers. Those two old ladies deserve even more than that, but would be thrilled to receive flowers.
I’d buy flowers for my mom and mil. I’d name my roomba Rosie after the Jetsons robot maid.
I would send flowers to my mom and name the Roomba Roy.
Definitely would name my Roomba Rocky!! I totally need this swag bag!!!
i would buy them for my sister and I would call it “gobbler”
I’d buy flowers for my gram. She’s 91 and still lives alone. A champ and an icon. I’d name my room a either “out damn spot” or “unclean.”
My incredible Mother In Law and Mom deserve to be showered with flowers. They are incredible, giving and loving people who do more than they need to always. Would love to send them a beautiful surprise!
And I’d name my Roomba: Toothless
I would buy flowers for my mom. I would call my Roomba “Max”.
I would buy flowers for my mother and of course, on top of the ones I already put together for her; my mother-in-law would love some too. My Roomba’s name would be Sir Vincent Beauregard, just ‘cuz!
I would buy flowers for my mom and grandma with the gift card and I’d name my roomba Karen 🙂
I wold buy flowers for my mom and a couple of my mom friends who do not get the recognition that they deserve. I would name my Room ba Hairy….with 3 girls in the house there is a lot of hair on the floors.
I would send flowers to my Mom an MIL! I would let 3 children name the Roomba, they would be so excited to name it. And probably treat it like a pet. If I had to choose a name I would pick Ralphie…
If I had to choose a name I would pick Ralphie… I would send flowers to my Mom an MIL! I would let 3 children name the Roomba, they would be so excited to name it. And probably treat it like a pet.
Oh my God, if I have a roomba, I shall name it “Bob”. And of course, the mopping one “BobJr.”
If buy flowers for my sons tutor she had made such a difference in our life and made school fun again .. life saver !
We’d name the vacuum hiccup piccup… this sway bag is too fun!!!
I’ve been a newsletter subscriber for quit a long time, a daily one too, and I admit I don’t always read the newetter but that’s only because I vidit here everyday.
I didn’t get the Sunday night newsletter on May 7th for some reason and that lead me to do a search of my email to see if I was even receiving the newsletter at all.
I don’t think your newsletter service likes me much ( I’ve never been rude or called it names so I’m not sure why) but after searching my email it appears that I’m only getting newsletters like once every few weeks and it’s totally random on what day I get them. See, that mail server must have something against me, maybe I called it names in middle school and it’s holding a grudge still or something, I don’t know. I know it’s to late to enter to win the swag bag but I just want to get the newsletter daily, if that could happen I definitely will feel like I won! 😄 🗽The statue is representing my trophy for winning 😆
