Milk Bar has been an East Village staple for about ten years with more recent shops opening in other parts of NYC, D.C., Las Vegas and Toronto. They are known for their cereal milk ice cream, Crack Pie (oatmeal cookie crust with butter filling that also comes in an ice cream version) and their cake truffles, which should not be confused with cake pops because they are not the same.

Milk Bar was founded by Christina Tosi, who first gained notoriety by creating the dessert menu at Momofuku with David Chang. I met Christina recently at a Cookies for Kids Cancer event, which is a wonderful non-profit you should totally look into. She agreed to let Mazzy, Harlow and I come in and sample some of the goods. This is what I do. Trade blog posts for ice cream and cookies.

I filmed how it all went down in my second episode of Mommy Shorts in the City. Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed eating!
