Father’s Day is this Sunday and I thought the best way to pay homage to the dads in our lives would be to give them heartfelt cards straight from their kids. Then, I had the dads read the cards for the first time out loud on camera.

But, it’s important to note that the kids are all under six-years-old (some are toddlers), so we gave them fill-in-the-blank cards and had their moms help them out. Let’s just say… they haven’t quite mastered the art of sentiment yet!

Seriously, I laughed and cried through the whole thing.

Did you like my shameless plug for my book at the end? I think the “remarkably average” moniker is going to come in handy.

The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting” is now available! The book combines my personal stories, photo memes, charts and graphics to make one really fun parenting guide for new and new(ish) moms and dads. It will officially be out on September 27th, but FYI— pre-orders are important because the number of books you sell before your book actually comes out helps determine if other media outlets will cover it the day it hits shelves. So yeah, unnervingly important. If you plan on buying it, please buy it now!
